Maps I would like to see added would be a Church/churcheyard and a Bunker (small underground, dark and cluttered). I feel the same way as Lil' J I love the big maps aesthetically but I hate playing them. They need to add something to make them more bearable to play.

Hey Jeremy, take this comment for what it is worth, but if you want to try to get into Dark Souls games, I recommend trying and starting with Dark Souls 2. It has a proper intro and a gradual learning curve, making it easier to understand. There will be BS moments, but it is definitely a bit better in the accessibility department (especially if you can have a friend join you in JOLLY COOPERATION!) And it carries over to the other souls game, so you can do better in those too. Once you get into the swing, it becomes enjoyable. All IMHO. But I can totally get the skepticism.

2:07:20 I, for one, would not like to see Jeremy play Dark Souls. He would get super rage-y and it would not be an enjoyable stream. I'm sorry but that's why I stopped watching him play through all the Pokemon games. When Jeremy isn't having a good time, it comes out in his content.

Dark souls is actually my favorite series. And in fairness it's only hard if you don't know what to do. Once you go through a couple playthroughs it's not bad. It is kind of a relaxing game to me. 😅 that being said there are a few bosses that SUUUUCK. Pontiff Sulyvan is one of those bosses for me. 😅 But man I can't stand watching AH play it. Drives me up a wall. 🙄 Side note: the Dark Souls community is VERY toxic. But "git gud" isn't always meant to be a put down. It means try different character builds, different fight tactics. learn the attacks and learn to avoid them, or learn to parry. and DO NOT GET GREEDY. Dark Souls has always been a game to punish the greedy. Get a couple hits in, and back up, or it'll kick your teeth in.

I hate to be that guy but dark souls really isnt that hard, once you get slightly familiar with controls and realize everything is kind of like a "dance" its not that bad. Elden Ring with how much faster pace it is, is a lot more unforgiving because the enemies and bosses dont really have that like "okay its your turn" kinda deal like Dark Souls itself had (because elden ring doesnt really have a "stamina bar" for those enemies where dark souls did) but IDK I think dark souls is mega chill, you just kinda grind it out at your own pace. The optional stuff might take someone hours if they arent good at the game, but the actual main content, eh I'd say like 60 minutes tops to beat a boss and thats only if you tilt easily. Otherwise probably within 1-5 attempts. (might be like 2-3 bosses that may be a little worse but actually has that rewarding feeling just because of how insanely cool the fights are ie: Pontiff, its like fighting a literal god lol) I think Jeremy would like souls but just kinda has a perception of it already that kind of prevents him from playing it. It's a good game to grind out in free time casually, playing it on stream would create more urgency so I wouldnt recommend that. I would also just say play Dark Souls 1 & 3, Bloodborne if you dont mind console. Then maybe the others if ever considered. I've beaten every souls game in existence and I will say Cuphead was probably infinitely more frustrating and timewasting than all of them combined though 🤣🤣 I never wanna touch Cuphead again, that game is just so painfully unforgiving in every possible way, spent way too much time to feel nothing but depression on that game. Also another point on the "Git Gud" Community, with the whole story and all point brought up. Dark Souls really has no story. Theres lore scattered throughout the world, that you can find, if you make it your mission to, but you cant even really "know" the lore unless you find those pieces which arent exactly easy to find or even know about. The game is a blank slate. You go into it blind, you're an undead that was revived. Even that isn't explained, nothing is. So the people that complained about it (as a devils advocate) had 100+ other games almost the same that were heavily focused on story. Dark Souls was a game without difficulty that had enemies that hit really hard, and a combat system like most other ARPGs that had a timing factor to avoid that super "hard" hitting damage (atleast until you got a shield).. So while it sounds good in theory that people were upset and the community was toxic over it. It's not realistic, because people wanted to play the hard game because their friends liked it. Saying its for the story is equivalent to Burnout Paradise and being mad at the racing portion of the game. Burnout has little to no story, its all about the racing lol. Anyway.. TL:DR People wanted to change an integral part of the game, the big selling point at that, but had little to no idea of what they were even arguing, they were just upset at what they couldn't do themselves. Hence the rise of "git gud" being a massive troll tactic, which then developed into toxicity because people got super elitist about it as they do in any community but just really helps to know the context too. The people being trolled weren't exactly doing themselves any favors either, they came into a franchise and tried to take away from it upon arrival lol. And like said theres no actual rush to Dark Souls, so it just doesnt make sense to complain about it instead of investing the time to learn. You can become good enough at that game to punch bosses to death, it just takes time, like all games do.
