Thanks so much for uploading this. It was tough to find the correct (to me) version of Map01 out of all the others which just don't sound right after the 2:30 mark. Either there are notes missing, or there are too many notes and no room to breathe. This version has that little rest in the perfect place between the measures. Exactly how it sounded when I was a teenager, deathmatching my friends after school. Good times!

This takes me straight back to my gaming days in 1994! I miss being 4 years old. I had so much fun playing games on my 486 MS-DOS PC a year before Kindergarten started in July 1995. *Crazy fact:* I first played Doom on my PC when I was just 47 months old in March 1994 while my dad was at Berkeley Systems developing the engine for After Dark Screensavers. Yes, I'm the son of the After Dark developer. :) I'll post an interview with him soon.

The only thing, which was wrong about the DOOM / DOOM II soundtrack on SB16, was the low volume of the pizzicato strings, which were almost unhearable. When modern sound cards appeared and DOOM soundtrack could be listened, the pizzicato strings sounded almost like an alien instrument in there.
