If these were built in the 90s, damn, imagine how much coins would be sucked from this machine!

Especially if the difficulty were set on Nightmare, LOL. No one would stand a chance! It'd still be fun as hell though. :-)

POV: Its December 1993, you're in your early to mid 20s; you still live at home, but pay $0/month for rent. It's that period between Christmas and New Year's Eve, your go-to arcade at the local mall has a brand spankin new arcade cabinet of the sequel to Mortal Kombat, Mortal Kombat II. You spend a good $5 in quarters playing this beast of a game until the mall closes. Lucky for you, you convinced your parents into investing in a PC (for the family, but mainly for yourself). Since you are very hip and know a decent amount about computers, you recently bought the game that everyone in your clique is talking about, Doom. Life is good. During the day you spend your hard earned money by unloading quarters at Mortal Kombat II, and when the mall closes, you race yourself home to play Doom on the family computer (conveniently set up in your bedroom) all night until the sun comes up. This scenario probably did exist, but most likely for only a few, select people, who I envy and consider part of the elite gamers of the early 90s.

This would be just perfect if it has another cabinet installed in the back for multiplayer. Like those duel screen Street Fighter arcade cabinets.

This is impressive, but what we really need is an arcade railgun version of DooM and an arcade flightstick version of DooM.

I really want to build one myself. Did you literally just use a mini pc inside it looks like? I want to program maybe a raspberry pie for something like that instead, I just want as little bull to sort through to get to the game honestly

That is a raspberry there :)

I was planning on building a DOOM themed cabinet just like this. Your build seems to be the only one of its kind though so Im not sure if im allowed to now...
@LeNerdarto4 жыл бұрын
why alowed? when i had the idea i couldnt find a doom themed one, but took other cabinets as refference. i had no plans or measurements or something, i just started and made it like i thaught it should look. today i d do it better but as this was one of my first projects it taught me a lot, was easy and fun. you should go for it!

That is the snes version at the beginning, he goes into the real version at the end of the video
@Mtlbro64 жыл бұрын
You can tell it’s not. The snes version has less pixels. It looks like the screen switches between a snes and a pc
