GaMetal returns to Golden Sun once again for this remix of Doom Dragon from Golden Sun: The Lost Age!
I normally do stuff from the original Golden Sun game, but we're changing it up this time with it's sequel The Lost Age. With it's constantly changing time signatures, this is one of the most technically challenging GS songs around. The song was composed in a way where you can never quite get comfortable.. like the battle with Doom Dragon. Pretty neat, huh?

Jonny Atma Thank's a lot. So damn peaceful ^^ BTW, the Doom Dragon one is pretty sick. And that improvisation in the middle was awesome. But what I love about your covers... is that you respect what makes the original track special. In this case, the chorus part. It's probably the most iconic part of the theme. And most people would just try to replicate it with a guitar or any instrument and call it a day. You? You put a chorus. Like it should be! Its a small detail, but I really appreciate that... I recall the first time, I listened to this song in the game, I was in awe, because it was the most amazing song I had ever listened to at that point. When I started listening to metal, I knew a cover of this song in metal style would be amazing and Jonny did not disappoint. The one other song I really wish was covered by Jonny is called 'Scrap and build ourselves' , which like this doom dragon theme, was also composed by Motoi Sakuraba, but the game it's from Eternal Sonata, is all about Chopin, one of the greatest composers of all time. I listen to that song every day, the guitar riffs I imagine on top of the forte and fortissimo passages, make me want it badly. Chopin is my favorite classical composer of all time, conversely, Motoi Sakuraba is my favorite videogame composer of all time as well. Both combined, gave birth to the best OST I have ever listened to in a game.
