This is a video aimed at beginners on console who may be having trouble with the Marauder. Surprisingly the main threat is not the Marauder but the environment he is spawned into. PS4/Nightmare

Yep please do! I imagine that he currently avoids some slayer gates and master levels for that reason also.

@@FlailheadGaming I imagine that’s true, but I know he has never touched a difficulty higher than Hurt Me Plenty, so much so that he swears that HMP is the ideal difficulty for DOOM Eternal, which I’m sorry that is simply not true, Nightmare all the way! Tbh, I think all your videos could help my buddy out a lot, he’s seen the way I play, shredding on Nightmare casually, but I can’t ask him to simply look at my gameplay and try to learn from it without explanation, so your in depth tutorials may help him get better and thus enjoy the game more, as I’m sure it’s helped other players too!

I also believe Nightmare gives you the ultimate Doom experience, and I truly believe it's for everyone if you engage with the systems, when it eventually clicks it's just superb. Thanks again man! Yes thinking on your feet is imperative, hard to teach it but by talking as I play I hope I can give players an idea behind my thought processes and why I would decide to do something,etc.

@@FlailheadGaming absolutely. That's the best way to go about it. Everyone is going to have their own playstyle so the best you can do is explain why you're making a particular decision at any given moment.

Something I also like to do is throw my grenade at my feet or against a wall next to me so the Marauder is forced to give me some space

That's a fun but tough section, yes would love to. What I wish they would introduce is fast travel so once a master level is completed on nightmare (for example) I could just load it up and go to certain areas straight away. Btw what difficulty are you on?

Man I totally agree, that's a tough area with the double marauders and the radioactive waste to deal with all at the same time. I still haven't cracked that area yet on nightmare either.

@@FlailheadGaming I am at ultra violence, but have only beaten that section on easy. I kept dying. I've gotten better but haven't played the master level to much because of that section.

@@maxime2445 ok will try and do a tutorial on that section. Just as a general pointer there are 2 main approaches imo: One is to practice and nail one of the marauder techniques out there that allow you to destroy him in one go during his eyes flashing green. If you do this you can in theory destroy the first marauder as it spawns, leaving you 1 on 1 with the other. The other option is to use a method like the one I used here and just chip away at them bit by bit using the higher section of the passage to jump over them, keep on going back and forth,etc. It is a tough area though and even extremely good players have got so close to death in that section or died.

Great video. I am a Ps4 player as well and I like your console tutorials. I've beaten this game on nightmare and your content has shown me a few things i didnt know. Just curious have you tried Ultra Nightmare? I have and for some reason I can play very confident ob Nightmare but on Ultra nightmare my play turns very sloppy. Just wondering what your experience is, or anyones for that matter. Happy Demon Slaying

Thanks for the kind words and I'm glad you've found the vids useful! Regarding UNM I've tried it but not seriously more to kind of just feel what it's like. I feel that if I was to succeed in UNM I would need to replay a NM level to death until I get it perfect then straight away jump on UNM. Eventually making my way through it level by level. Unfortunately I don't have the time to invest into that and am not naturally talented to pull it off without lots of practice. I will say though that I found the first UNM level on 2016 much harder than DE's.

I just use the quick switching method you taught us in your quick switch tutorial (thanks for that btw much much faster than what I used to do)ssg+ballista and grenade kills him in minutes or seconds depending if i can aim
