No. 1) The best metal soundtrack has Prince of Persia Warrior Within, written by two very talanted composers - Stuart Chatwood and Inon Zur. You may be a few years old and you've never heard of it, but its your problem. It even has very atmospheric ambient, which i havent seen while playing Doom eternal. 2) Painkiller OST - some real metal stuff. 3) Doom eternal goes only in third place. Rather boring one-string jent metal.. pff, sometimes it hirts my taste, but sometimes heavy enough. 4) here is maybe Serious Sam OST i think...

Wont be easy. Even though I love this guy's work and style, it seems he threw one of id's sound engineers under the bus and, whats more disturbing, didnt finalize his contract by not meeting the deadlines which would have cost id and bethesda lots of money (fuck bethesda btw), because this ost was a part of premium edtion preorder. Id gave a detailed response on the matter. And Mick, to my knowledge, did not. Best of luck to Mick and id but I doubt there will be a collab between them anytime soon.

@@chaser1254 It's hard to pin blame here. I think Mick just lost track of his schedule amidst the pandemic and everything and couldn't finish all the final mixes by the time the deadline rolled in. Again, yes Mick should be held accountable for missing his deadlines, but I understand how that might have come about and I can't help but empathise with Mick on the deadline thing. On the matter of Chad Mossholder, yeah, Mick should have clarified things much earlier. That's on him.

So... I wonder if before they had the interview they had to have the "elephant in the room" conversation where Mick told him specifically not to ask any questions about his relationship with id, what happened or what the future holds for Doom music. There is no way that conversation didn't happen. Man that elephant was so huge, but they ignored it well.

that's how interviews usually works. you contacted them then you set a specific topic to discuss about, and discuss which topic shouldn't be touched. if the interviewers still ask about said topic, you can just reject the question and they have a high chance to get banned from interviews industries for breaking work conduct

His work on the game Dusk is phenomenal on the same level as Micks work, and just listen to his original Doom soundtrack remake album IDKFA he released for free, its masterclass

Ridori definitely not. 2016 was more industrial and only really had one mission that was no guitar and only synth(Vega’s Core). Eternal has 4 mission with no guitar(Cultist and Doom Hunter bases, Mars Core, and Urdak).

More like hopefully they can get a new composer who can meet deadlines. Besides, there’s plenty of artists out there who can pick up on what Gordon left behind. Andrew Hulshult, Aubrey Hodges, Trent Reznor, even artists like Sonic Clang or Eddie Kim could make an unreal soundtrack in the same style
