@@SorcerousMammal cause if tanks didn't do lots of damage then they wouldn't be very scary. There was a time like a year and a half ago where tanks got pretty damn close to this position. Because of their larger health pools better players didn't waste time ignoring them and killing backlines. And their lack of damage or CCs just meant if you did focus them they couldnt really do anything they were just punching bags. So you are quite literally fucked if tanks don't have that "look at me or die" feeling to them. Plus sigma is kind of worse because he can kind of 2 shot you from a way farther range than road can. And his rock hit box is fucking massive. hog's one shot is very dependent on the hog being somewhat knowledgeable and the hook victim being unaware *and* having bad movement.

god i love meteor strike, it does like 10 damage (unless you land on top of someone who is actually brain dead), makes the teams only tank disappear into the air, and it guarantees that you’ll be in a bad position during the fight so that the other team can just kill you! great rework overall

Maybe allow us to do double leap for the charge. Or re activate the block for some extra effect. (Maybe aoe blue shield 100 to everybody around you that way we can save healers)

Doomfist is a flawed concept. He's a melee character in an FPS. Yes, we have two other melee characters, but their core concepts are based on supporting their team first. Doomfist has zero support or tanking abilities, no way to protect, heal, or enable his allies. He's a fun idea but doesn't belong.

I feel like Doom's Powerblock should be usable and retractable like Sigma's barrier, with a short 1-1.5 second cooldown when you go out of it (so you can't just spam it). Because, as it stands, I feel like Powerblock is his weakest ability. You move slower, you can't deal damage, you can still be headshot, you don't tank for your team (aside from your body, that's it), but, on the bright side, you get a super punch (genuinely good, don't get me wrong), and you get an extreme damage reduction. Those latter points sound fine, but you're pretty much not playing the game when you hit that ability key and sit still for several seconds just *taking damage*. It also breaks Doom's highly mobile playstyle extremely badly, where everything just *stops* and you have to sit around hoping people shoot at you. Like I get where they were going with the ability as it currently stands and I think it's not the worst implimentation they could have done, but I do think it's massively at odds with the rest of Doomfists role and is absolutely outclassed by 90% of the other tank abilities. Doom as a tank is a fantastic idea, and I always felt uneasy with Doom as a DPS (an all or nothing character who either feeds or one-shots a majority of the time is a badly designed character in my opinion). However this incarnation of him as a tank just plain sucks. And yes, we can look to those ever popular Doom pro videos where the guys pop off and destroy the enemy team and whatever but, let's be honest, those kinds of players were going to dominate the enemy team as *any* of the tank roles, not just Doom. Even ignoring the fact that these kinds of pro players are a very, very small minority of the Overwatch playerbase.

Doomfist was my favorite character in OW1 and I was completely unaware they turned him into a tank. Now not only do I have to queue as tank and switch only to tanks when I want to play as him or switch off him but I will get yelled at for playing as him. They turned the flanking character with an ult that makes him literally disappear from the map so he's not tanking shit into a tank... okay??

Ideas for Doomfist: -If at max charge, his fist does not lose charge unless he dies or punches an enemy (ie you can use it as a movement ability without losing the charge.) -Meteor Strike pushes people away from the blast, and does a very short duration stun + impact damage them if they are pushed into a wall. -While charging your punch you have the option to grab a nearby enemy and throw them instead. If this is OP then change it to just throw them into the ground. A successful throw resets the punch ability (but not necessarily the throw ability.) -Hit Q when in the air to expend a 10% of your ult charge and punch directly down.

Scaling the punch's damage with how much charge you've built up ain't a bad idea, but it COULD lead to an Equalizer situation where it isn't always 100% clear how much damage you'll be doing at a given moment. Maybe it could have set milestones, and hitting a milestone was what gave you more damage? Idunno. But man, Doomfist as a tank looks... more fun than I expected. Not GOOD, of course, just fun.

He’s now a tank with significantly neutered damage in exchange for better survivability, and his uppercut has been replaced with Power Block. It protects Doom from frontal damage, decreasing it by 80% and charging his gauntlet after absorbing a set amount. When charged, his punch gains slightly more damage and a larger hitbox, along with a significant stun effect when they hit a wall. However, this buff only lasts for a single punch. Whenever he doesn’t have this buff, Doom is just a large, predictably-moving target with incredibly unreliable damage. And to make matters worse, Power Block isn’t particularly good at helping Doom actually tank, as its lack of cc immunity means he can be forced out of it with abilities like Sleep Dart, Javelin, Hack, etc. Overall, Doom is easily the weakest character in the game ATM, offering almost no benefit compared to his competition.

You know what would be awesome if doomfist had like a counter to go with his block. Kinda like genji reflect, but once it's charged up u press a button and he does an immediate fully charged counter-punch that does a bit more damage/stun than a sigma rock. That or kind of like a short-range hog hook, he can grapple someone nearby and then punch them.
