Thanks for the playthrough, but I am a little confused on the Age cards. When you flip the Age Card to start the next round aren't all players supposed to follow that Ages instructions first in order of player turn, then each player actually plays their actual turn. So for example you flip an Age card and it is the Age of Reason and it says "Draw three, keep one, discard the other two." Wouldn't each player do the above Age requirement first and then once as everyone had their turn THEN each player actually takes their normal turn after that? In the video one player follows the Age Requirement, then plays their action, and then stabilizes and then the next player did the same.

For catastrophes all effects are immediate for ages the effect is as the turns rotate

You missed a point for the Swarm - one solo Swarm is worth one point (two Swarms in a game makes each worth 2, and so on...)

Nice play through, really let me make up my mind about the game, I think the person on the right shouldn’t have been able to play two dominant cards, I believe it’s one dominant card per person, that’s why the’re so strong. I might be wrong and it could be one dominant card per colour.

Oh nice! Thanks for commenting :). It's actually 2 dominant cards per person. No colour restrictions. In very rare cases you can even have 3 :O !

@@mrocks2231 in your hand is fine. They actually become a liability because they take up your hand size and are hard to get rid of. Only in your gene pool (on the table I front of you) count for the limit.

@@mrocks2231 it's actually an age, one of 20 or so called age of heroism. If you happen to have the dominant trait "heroism" you can play It ignoring all normal restrictions. Very rare but I've seen it happen

15:35 - The lady discards "TEETH" card from her traits pile. That card had an effect "+1 to the Gene Pool". When this kind of card is removed, shouldn't she reduce her Gene pool by one point? Watching the video from the creators on youtube, they explain that once removed, the card loses the effect and you have to adjust your Gene Pool. Please correct me if I am wrong

Yall messed up on the first catastrophe. You were supposed to discard a card after a catastrophe to match the gene pool unless the catastrophe says otherwise. Now you played the colorless trait right but ended that age wrong.

The rules say that you don't discard to match the gene pool until you stabilize. They played it right with changing their gene card and then stabilize

Never played but it seems like you can just put the highest numbers cards down whenever you can as an obvious strategy.

To anyone in the Doomlings community. I have two question: Q: If Cards like Swarm are considered to have a face value of 1, can I use BINARY to steal them? Q: Dominants are really a pain sometimes. But if a trait action requires AN OPPONENT to return one of their traits to their hand, can they select THEIR DOMINANT TRAIT(S)? I realize Dominants are unaffected by card actions, but a card action that compels the OPPONENT to do something isn't directly targeting the Dominant trait, so that should work, right?

Swarm has a face value of zero and could still be stolen using binary based on house rules. I’ve tried both ways of “face value” means what number shows on the card and where that “+” looking symbol doesn’t equal zero as a face value. Dominant traits cannot be removed from your trait pile for any reason

I think you did play the first catastrophe wrong. When the catastrophe happens, you do that immediately, but you played the anytime (grey card) card after you read the catastrophe. Aren't you supposed to do the catastrophe immediately no ifs ands or buts? Also, further into the video, one player played a purple card (big ears) during the lunar retreat age.
