Just think, all this stuff could have been single player DLC content but once Rockstar saw those shark cards selling like hot cakes, they immediatedly said forget single player and released all the good stuff as online only. The single player experience was subpar at best, I didn't even finish it. And the single player Heist missions were weak. Sad they're doing the same thing with Red Dead Redemption 2. Right now, RDR2 isn't that fun, because they're saving all the good stuff for online. They want you to pay for the fun stuff. And since Rockstar has gone on record stating that RDR2's single player is just a testing ground for online play, you realize why the game is so bare bones when it comes to an open world experience that is actually fun to fool around in. People were hyping RDR2 as an evolution in gaming, yeah...right, it's not even close. Yeah...it's a beautiful game to look at in Native 4k, but there isn't one game play mechanic that pulls you in or pulls the whole experience together. The NPC interaction is no different than any other RockStar game, they just gave you three canned options to pick from. I can't believe the people who demoed the game actually thought they were experiencing something Revolutionary. Right now...my game of the year is God of War. It has great gameplay and a great story. RDR2 can get an artistic award or something, but game of the year, not in my book.
