Doonbeg is the english version Irish meaning little fort so how come you brit supporters live in Ireland with names of areas that still have their irish names still intact.11/7/2013.Irish time 12:28pm.Thursday.

Yea because we "choose" the names for our estate! dumb dumb!. When Rathcoole was first built in 1952 it was a community for ALL people so you have different names for different streets. some where more Irish and so where more ulster-scot. But the late 60s (mainly 69) would change who lived in Rathcoole. on that note when bobby sands lived in "Doonbeg" he never told anyone he was a catholic! (FACT) and he helped the "Rathcoole defence association" to put taigs out to! (FACT!) anything else ? ;)
