Hey DeeDee! I pulled the trigger on this backpack because of Tera’s video also. I also grabbed it in red but it hasn’t arrived yet. I’ve never seen this backpack in person but I’m excited about getting it. I plan to use mine for family trips and outings only. I would probably put my sunglasses, sanitizer, and keys in the outside side pockets because I reach for those a lot. For the front pocket I’d place hand cream, travel wipes, gum, and Kleenex there. So sorry it didn’t work out for you. TFS🤗

After reading some comments and after witnessing later in video it sounds like yes definitely the side pockets are for sunglasses 🕶️ or reading glasses 🤓. The red is gorgeous No Denying it’s a beautiful backpack. I’m disappointed because it’s not appearing it will work for me 😔. But I am limited in how I can use my handbags. If the function isn’t there you should return it. They make the return process pretty easy. Dooney backpacks aren’t really designed to wear on one shoulder. I have the pod backpack and it can only be worn traditionally (both shoulders) so I use it for beach walking and bicycling. Just think of it - $139 can be applied to something else that will work for you. You might like a sling bag by Kipling or Vera Bradley. Designed with one adjustable strap and lightweight like a cross between a backpack and a crossbody

Hi Accesorygirl Welcome, I’m glad you understand about the shoulder carry of the backpack 🎒 I used to wear them all the time both ways and loved them and they worked and YES absolutely yes 💡 I am comparing to my Vera Bradley backpack. I have one I wore down to the threads literally so I’m trying to replace that one before the handles and straps loose their last thread 🧵 🤦‍♀️ yep I’ll need to look into what I do as a final answer thanks so much for tanking the time out to watch comedy a d support 👛🛍️🚢🙏🎒

I got the same backpack. In black. 😁 Sides pocket are made for sunglasses or eyeglasses. Also good for a small umbrella as well.. Front poker good for your keys, and other essentials. Love it 😊 it a backpack....... 😊😊😊

That black one was gorgeous I try to keep my black down because of the animal hair yikes 😬 yes not sure if you noticed I was sooo excited when I put my Sunglasses and they fit almost perfectly 😊. I think is it a beautiful backpack 🎒 I have other backpacks that I have been able to use the way my ailments will let me this one just not working so much. I got a large one in the color wine the color wine is beautiful an it will go with everything is a nice beautiful dark color I got it from ilovedooney with the promotion code for$159 and the medium one is $139 with the parosion code I ordered mine the 16th of August 2023 yes it is a heavy bag no matter what I tried to downside I brought the large so it can be able to carry the things that I need is going to be havy no matter what hopefully straps is comfortable

Hi Dee Dee! I appreciate your honest review. You made very good points about both the pros and cons. I recommend returning the bag. You can print a prepaid return label at the website, then drop it off at UPS. Like you said, sometimes we don't know if a bag will work until we get it home. Kipling and Vera Bradley make cute, lightweight backpacks and tote bags for the same price point or less. Macy's often has great prices on Kipling. Hope you continue to feel better! TFS! Great informative video. I don't believe Dooney has done a lot of back packs, and it sure looks like they need to up their game. Back packs are really trending right now, and if Dooney wants to appeal to a younger audience, they had better get on it. The color is great, though, and you would look pretty cool zipping around on your scooter with that thing hanging from it. Oh well. Bottom line, we need functionaliy!
