I’m reading these comments and feeling some weight being lifted off my shoulders for the first time in a very long time. I have been an ARMY since being 17 and used to watch every interview, music video, every award show and spend hours on Twitter - life then got in the way and I am now 23 and haven’t had the time to dedicate as much love to the boys as I’ve wanted to but my god reading these comments made me feel butterflies and comfort I have felt at 17. Times are hard, I’m struggling and just being reminded that I have a home with BTS and ARMY had helped to make today a little brighter. Thanks to all ARMYs who have spent time writing these comments, you are awesome. It’s October 29th, 2022. I use this video as lullaby for my nephews and they fall asleep easily. It’s a way to transmit my love for BTS to them. TBT ... Back when BTS debut days. I was like here's a little boy band that won't succeed in the music industry. For years on I never followed them, but one day I heard a few songs and heard Min Yoongi speak and listened to his past with anxiety and depression. This made me explore more into their music, interviews. In 2020 BTS took my hand and walked me up to the top of the mountain and showed me what's out there. This is one of the best decision I've ever made. I was a grumpy 50 year old man back in the day but when I started to follow them. They have changed my life completely. I'm not scared to say I love BTS to other people. I tell them that one day they're maybe a artist that may change your life someday. Mine was BTS. I love you brothers ....

I don't know why i'm commenting really but here am I. I am 21 and for as long as I remember i've had anxiety as well as eating disorders...and well I was never in a good place mentally, my self esteem was and still is shit. A month ago I discovered and really learned who Bts are. Yup only a month or so ago. I instantly felt stupid for sleeping on them for so long. I first got really moved by Min Yoongi, this man...he made me realise how strong someone could be and how you should be unapologetically yourself, and how hard work always pay. Yoongi really became a model to me. I wish I could thank him someday and I just hope he knows how beautiful his soul his. For some reason Jimin and Namjoon moved me too. Jimin because I saw so much of myself in him, how hard he is with himself and how far he pushes is limits... and Namjoon just...man his lyrics ?! The whole mono album? This man knows what true pain and loneliness are, I relate so much with his lyrics. And yeah I discovered them and then I fell with such a passion for these guys, all seven of them. All different but so complementary. And damn they are funny af, always making me crack a smile when I need it. I just...I don't know, I needed something to cheer me up in this life and they just appeared aha. I don't consider myself an army but I just love them so much. And well that's it I guess, I just felt like telling you aha. (No need to answer, i'm an introvert so i'll probably won't know what to respond if you comment on this post lmao).

I have a similar story, actually. I struggled with severe anxiety, OCD, and am still recovering from an eating disordeer. Once I found BTS, I felt so much stronger, so much more...whole. I relate to Yoongi because of our histories of mental illness, and he reminds me I shouldn't be ashamed of them. I relate to Jimin becase of his struggle with body image and an eating disorder, and just like you, because he's so hard on himself. And Namjoon...where do I even begin? I couldn't relate to his beliefs more than I already do and the way he pours himself out into his lyrics is just...wow. Everything I think, it's there in his songs. No wonder that man is my ultimate bias. Jin's confidence inspires me to love myself more, and (thanks, Eat Jin) reminds me I SHOULD be eating and I should never feel ashamed for doing so. Taehyung reminds me it's okay to be myself, Jungkook motivates me to always do the best I can. And Hobi.....I feel so at home whenever I listen to his mixtape. He really is a piece of piece. I adore all 7 of them and cannot thank them enough for the joy they have brought me.

im sorry something came over me when i was listening to this imagine one day when bts disbands imagine one day you won’t see them anymore imagine one day bts leaves this world and goes to somewhere happier how would you feel? - throwback to their last concert - “it is time for us to sing our last song together as bts. join us, army,” the leader, namjoon, says. the intro of ‘let go’ starts to play. the members tried to stay strong for all of you, but when the golden maknae jungkook started singing, they teared up, couldn’t hold it back anymore. you heard one army shout, “don’t cry !!” they tried to sing without crying, but you could hear the sadness in their voices. the whole stadium sang together, soon after, everyone had tears in their eyes. our once smiling jimin sang, “i gotta let you know, that i need to let you go, hard to say goodbye, but i can’t run no. im ready to let go.” you watched as the seven members walk to the middle of the stage at the end of the song. our angels looked so vulnerable. the whole stadium was in silence, until you shouted, “i purple you !!” your voice rang across the stadium, and you heard armys shouting that as well. our boxy-smile owner taehyung kneeled down and couldn’t stop his tears from flowing. soon after, bts repeated that with you as well. you realised that bts owned a special place in your heart, and no one could ever replace them. worldwide handsome jin did his signature finger kiss and said, “im forever your car door guy, the third guy from the left.” yoongi kept silent the whole time, but he gave you a wobbly gummy smile, and that was enough to make armys tear up once again. hoseok looked up while wiping his tears and said into his mic, “im your hope, youre my hope. i was jhope.” namjoon then said, “thank you for being with us all these years, we were bts, and you were an army. now, it’s the time for you and me to let go of each other. look up my moonchild ! do you see the bright and yellow moon? we love you, don’t ever forget that.” everyone looked up when they heard fireworks, but when their eyes focused back on the stage. they were gone. you put your face in your hands and sobbed loudly. the day may come in a blink of an eye, so treasure your time now with them, then you wouldn’t regret not loving them enough. edit: shoutout to everyone who cried :D i cried as well when i was writing this ahaha edit 2 (after 8 months): wow i never thought i would make so many of you cry it was not my intention heh :) after 8 months, here i am smiling while im reading the replies because i can see how much these seven boys means to each and every one of you. im so touched by the love you guys have for them and remember even though they will disband in the near future, they will stay in our hearts forever edit (after 1 year): i accidentally came back to this video and wow how did this reach so many people :o edit (after 2 years): people are still seeing this wow… i hope everyone stays healthy and happy! don’t forget to take good care of yourselves :]

I see everyone commenting about how Bts changed their life, so I am too. Ah,where do I even start? Bts, they helped me find myself. Before I knew about Bts, I was a mess. I was suicidal, I had no reason to live. All I had on my mind was death. I felt like no one cared. Once I became army,my whole life changed. Their music helped me through my depression and anxiety and suicidal thoughts. I'm not saying that I'm completely well,but I certainly am doing better. All thanks to Bts. I don't know why. But I played this when I am trying to sleep. So I close my eyes and start to tear up suddenly. It really beautiful. I see they smile toward me. And saying "thank you army" then they turn into the butterfly. And came back with a flower. Saying that "we always be together" than turned back into butterfly. Go into different directions. I walking till one place make me start to tear really hard. The beach with a sunset. All Army and BTS were Standing there waving hand to me. Saying "come here, we need to be together" and we take the picture. And everyone turn into butterfly and dissappear. I look on the photo that we take. There something write on the picture. "we were only seven but we have you all now. We already reached our dream. Its time to go heave together. Thx Army." I look up to the sky. The sunset was really beautiful. I hug the picture. And slowly disappear from the earth. My last word is "everything is fine now. Finally I can be forever together with them. I miss army and BTS. My dream and last wish already come true. I will be fine there. Thank you." my picture fell into the send. It's a beautiful dream. Suddenly I open my eyes. And smile brightly. I look at my phone, didn't realise the song already finish. I honestly relate to this on another level. I was promised by my former best friend that we’d always be together and she’s always be there for me, we both promised that to each other. I’m barely even a freshman now but I’d known her since second grade. We did everything together and then she just texted me one day and said and I quote, “We can’t talk anymore you’re causing me to much pain. Goodbye.” It wasn’t up for debate and her words still haunt me to this day. I tried so hard to keep her but she walked out for the second time in that friendship and that time it was final.

Darker Stxrs i deeply relate to you, i cried reading your reply. I couldnt keep her like you did. She just told "your nothing to me, never talk to me or even see me, ive never known you or met you from now on." I asked her why, she didnt answer and left me alone. Luckily i have other friends who helped me get over the fact she was even my friend. Before we met this year, i think we were seventh graders, she gave me a necklace and told me we hopefully meet agian. Now that im a ninth grader and met her, she broke our friendship. Everytime i see it i get reminded of her. In this thursday i give it back to her (hopefully) and i wont get reminded of her, i will move on. I think she became more depressed than ever, when she broke it, its her fault now, i just hoped we become together always. But not every good friends/family/moments stays.

Me and her had planned a whole future being best friends, things such as living together, and then just a couple weeks ago she made a group chat behind my back even though we haven’t been talking for months, and she told everyone in that group chat to stop being friends with me, luckily the people she added still believed me rather than her. I still have her clothes at my house and haven’t had the courage to give them back or get rid of them so they just sit there in a pile. We’re only going into high school and not to expose her or anything but she’s done some things that she probably shouldn’t have and I still stuck by her then, but I swear I breathed the wrong way and she’d stop talking to me for a week. She was always to busy for me and had excuses to not have to see me. But my other friends have been there for me, and though I’m still upset over my former best friend they made it somewhat better. Im just going to say this even though I know maybe no one is going to read it: For me BTS is one of the most humble, caring, kind and loving people, and that´s one of the reasons they are so succesful and because they have worked so much to get where they are now. They have been through so much and we as ARMY should really appreciate all their hard work and love them for what they are and not only for their good looks, let´s love them for their music, the message they express and transmit to others, the love they give us and all the support we get from them. Personally, their music inspires me a lot, they give me the energy that I need to be able to live my everyday with happiness. I have been reading the comments and its so wholesome . I am so grateful to be an ARMY and I found such nice people to guide me to right path in life and taught me to love myself . Yes it's true in my life.I was suffered from depression from my childhood because all of my neighborhood and friends used me only when they need a work to be completed. Their parents keep on complain my mom that I am destroying their children but it's not true and also they said I'm useless at that time no one was there to support except BTS. I got motivated by them they changed my sad life into happy life.

I can imagine myself being in my late 30s and accidentally seeing a picture of BTS, or my kids ask me who they are... Since everyone is commenting on their story I might as well too. When I was a child, I only knew death, too many people around me that I loved died. I made it a habit at a young age to never let anyone truly get close to me, that led to me being very antisocial. The only true friend I had was my cousin, who was like a sister to me, she was 2 years older than me, and she always taught me to stand up for myself. When I was 7 my grandma passed away after heart failure due to her heart surgery, that was only the start of my separation anxiety over people leaving me, then 3 years later I stopped hearing from my cousin, this is where the true story begins. I was only 10 when I found BTS, I remember it extremely clearly, I was sitting at my desk in 2014 browsing my youtube when I spotted vibrant Orange hair, I look at the thumbnail and see Taehyung better known as V, it was the MV for Boy in Luv, I remember vaguely that it had come out 6 or 7 hours beforehand if my memory hasn't failed me. I was intrigued as to why this was in my youtube feed as I had never looked anything up that was remotely similar to this video, out of curiosity I clicked the video and fell in love with their music, and the way they presented themselves. As time went on though I started becoming more depressed, I was self-conscious about myself both inside and out. I stopped drawing pictures, I stopped smiling, I stopped eating (mostly) and I stopped being confident in myself and my appearance. By then I was a huge fan of BTS and listened to all their songs new and old, and watched all the videos and bangtan bombs when in 2016, I was struck with terrible news, my cousin who I thought of like my sister and only friend... died, overdosed on pills. I was a wreck, I stopped doing anything that somewhat kept me sane, the only thing I had was BTS as if they could save me from this hell even if it was for a short period of time... then, a year later they released their Love Yourself campaign. All of a sudden, as I watched Namjoon's speeches, I slowly realized what I was doing wasn't healthy, I needed to stop. after 4 long hard months, I managed to get myself put back together, even though I have episodes, and I forget to eat occasionally, I'm fine now... so now whenever I look at BTS, I see my real teachers. The ones who taught me what it means to be human. These songs in piano form makes me think deeply at night all of the things I tried but failed, pursued but rejected, useful but not recognized, being sad and emotional. But at the end of thinking of these thoughts, happiness always came in because I'm reminded by their love and support to each of us even if they don't know or even meet us in person. I swear, BTS is my mental savior even physical I guess. I keep on thinking about bad things to do to myself but the whispers of them to value my life and hold on more makes me turn away those thoughts. I'll never leave this fandom. A few months ago I saw how a girl who wasn’t an army yet slowly started to become one and how she looked a bit more happier since then. I haven’t been feeling like myself and felt like I couldn’t breathe because I’m always overwhelmed with so many thoughts like “what if I don’t make it?”, “what if I can’t go to college because of money?”. I was doing so well during my freshman year but when Covid hit I felt trapped in time like everyone else was moving forward and I just standing there. Now I’m a senior in HS and I feel weird like I didn’t get time to enjoy HS like others or anytime to mature or process things because to me it wasn’t long ago when COVID was killing so many people and still is but even if it wasn’t my fault, I felt like trash again I was so disappointed in myself for letting myself go so easily when I promised myself that I would never ever be like that again. But I begin to lose interest in things that I used to enjoy, gained a lot of weight, felt like my depression and anxiety got the best of me, I felt so many fatigue and lost motivation to keep going and at some point I almost lost myself forever because for many nights I cried myself to sleep hoping it was my last breathe. I was and am exhausted my life was never easy to begin with because of the circumstances I lived in I had to forced myself to mature faster than others because there was no other way I could survive. I suffered a lot and still am going through so many hardships but not many know about it because I prefer to keep it to myself to not bother people because sometimes I can’t not physically accept people’s empathy without feeling out of place or weird and there’s sometimes when their words have no effect on me because I don’t feel anything. I never realized how cold I could be until someone dear to me told me about it and I never realized how resilient and wise I was for my age because I thought it was normal and that everyone thought the same but I guess I was wrong. Even though at the moment I feel this constant anxiety I have hope that everything will be okay and that I will be okay. Grades aren’t everything and don’t let your grades determine your worth because even if you don’t feel like it YOU ARE WORTH A MILLION STARS AND DESERVE TO BE HAPPY AND BE LOVED! Don’t stack your feelings until you can’t hold them in because that won’t do you no good and will just hurt you even more. Feel those emotions and embrace them and know that you will be ok and you will live. Know that you’re allowed to feel pain because that’s what makes us all human so feel and accept yourself. Never be embarrassed or ashamed to be feel weak or vulnerable. Know that I don’t care who you are or what you are because even if I never met you or know you I still love and care for you. I mean you’re listening to BTS right now we already have something in common lol. Be yourself and never be embarrassed because we’re all unique but know that being different is ok because if we were all the same then life would be boring haha! If you got this far I hope you have an amazing day/night and hope that life treats you better. Stay true to yourself and remember that you are not alone and not in a scary way incase this gives you constant anxiety and make you sleep with your eyes open haha but like emotionally. Think of it as a big and loving virtual hug and pat on the back because you are doing your best to keep going and I’m so proud of you because you are strong, resilient and beautiful so never forget and if you need to read this as many times as you can to remind yourself it’s ok. Piano covers always make me feel almost nostalgic. When I listen to them, it feels like I’m taken to a time where all has already passed. Their voices, their words, their stages, our cheers all departed, but the melody remains. It’s like I can feel all of it at once just from the stripped melody on the piano while simultaneously feeling the absence of it all. It’s a powerful emotion that takes over me, but rather than sadness or joy, a feeling of balance and peace stands alone. It’s almost as if I could say to myself, “And so we lived. Finally, I found it. I never imagined to find the piano version of my favorite band BTS. I feel so many memories. In the past, I used to think they are some normal boy band. Now, I learn self love through their songs. When I was a baby army, I didn't get it whenever Armys said BTS songs are meaningful. After exploring their artistic discography from the past to the present, I can clearly see why they are loved so much. I wish they are happy, healthy and keep on making meaningful songs. Bts are one of the best things in my life. They make me so happy and every day I wake up I think everything is going to be beautiful because I have my seven angel with me.
