I have a question - if the alarm goes off, is there a related app you can put on your iPhone to show that it went off, and you can turn it off wirelessly? (ie, you are out of town and away from home, and at the same time it can inform you on your iPhone app that the alarm went off. Subsequently you can turn it off)

thanks for the question. No, this is just a manual alarm that has to be switched off or the door has to be closed for it to stop. No advanced tech, just a 10$ thingy

next time someone just break a window. If they know there is a alarm 1 quickly run in and shut the door .. or 2 cover the alarm with you hand ....

What’s the point of this kind of alarm? What if the robber / thief opens the door and jumps to the inside and then close the door? The alarm would stop once the door is closed, but the attacker is still there to harm the resident

Fair point Fiona. Some use it as a deterrent on the ground floor while bedrooms are upstairs. Some use cases are to keep an eye on kids if they manage to open the door and get out... and in some cases just another alarm ahead of a second door or something. Its a cheap option to consider among many other security devices.

What's your point? This seems like a pretty redundant question. What's the point of any alarm really? The robber is in your house no matter what. You can either be alerted to it and woken up so you have time to grab your baseball bat or you can sleep through it and let him ravage your sweet ass. The options are clear. The choice is yours. What part don't you get?
