I don’t know why Hyundai doesn’t have walk away auto lock feature. My 6 years old CRV EX has this feature. Where as my new Palisade calligraphy which is twice the cost of CRV doesn’t have this feature. I hope Hyundai adds this capability thru software update if possible.

I really wish the goddamned thing would NOT autolock after I've walked away. This is dangerous - I have been googling for half a bloody hour to figure out how to turn this feature off and NO ONE has an answer, only how to ENSURE that it DOES autolock. What if a parent walks away form a kid to pick up a paper or whatever and they have a mishap and can't get back to the car? How do you get out the kid or a dog or whatever? I know this sounds extreme, but I am fed up with parking on my property, going into the house, hang up the keys, and then in passing want to get into the car for some reason without having to go back in the house? I so fu*king HATE the modern world where we have to device up before we can function.

I’ve had my 2023 Santa Fe Calligraphy almost a year and the door locking drives me crazy no matter what option I select. I don’t know how much more of this I can tolerate!!!😳

just bought a new 2024 Palisade calligraphy and notice the menu on the video has walkaway lock box, but does the car in the USA have it? I find that many features consider standard in the US market on other cars are not included on the top of the line hyundai, ie electric folding mirrors, walkaway locking, welcome light display, trailer receiver just name a few.

I just bought a 2024 Tucson. I am having trouble unlocking the door. It sometimes takes 4 or 5 tries before it opens. So frustrating!!

Yeah Hyundai is completely worthless, any attempt to call their customer service just get you taken in circles with no answers. And when you finally exhaust the person you're talking to they send you to someone else and their computer just never can seem to bring up your information. I've had this car for 6 months and I am still not able to access any of the smartphone features because they can't figure out how to open my information that I sent them 6 months ago 3 months ago and last week.

I’m having problems, locking my doors. I’ve had a vehicle for six months now and cannot lock my doors anymore. Not through the app not the key fob not through the key not through the hand swipe so now what just leave it unlocked.????

It's actually anti safety, you want to be able to lock all the doors if someone is trying to get in

Our new 2024 Tucson has just 240 miles on it. My wife couldn't lock the car this morning by pushing the lock button in the car. I tried it as well & same thing. I needed to use the MyHyundai app to lock the car. This video had no information on why my lock button wouldn't work in the car so not to useful. It appears to be broken.

This is a horrible oversight on the part of Hyundai. If I’d had any inkling that the doors couldn’t be locked from the inside while exiting the vehicle, I never would have bought one. It’s such a commonplace feature with other cars; I have no idea why Hyundai wouldn’t have included it automatically.

2016 Elantra. When try to lock after shutting off engine with door open, the locks lock, then immediately unlock. Have to close door and use fob or hit button on door. Is this normal function?

The new hyundai I just got have the same lock unlock button inside the doors. But these buttons do not function at all? For the old car , you can press the lock / unlock buttons to lock and unlock. What happened to these buttons in this new car? Is my car defective ? Anyone has the same problem ?

All useless features certainly in light there is NO WALK AWAY AUTO LOCK. So what's the use of auto unlocking then????? Lacking essential features which I got so used to in my previous cars (BMW, VW which were not highest trims too expensive with German cars) whereas useless gadgets in abundance with Hyundai. Idem ditto auto/power folding mirrors, wireless Android Auto/Apple Carplay, intelligent update info in digital cluster in sync with navigation, etc.. I have the top trim level Hyundai Tucson PHEV.

This morning I couldn't open my Hyundai Tucson limited 2023 via key fob and myhyundai on phone, unfortunately this vehicle there is not option open by manually so I had to call road assistant come to open, this car so disadvantaged

So why can you not unlock the door with the keyfob while the car is running? Takes a real moron to overlook that little safety consideration God I wish I had bought another Nissan!
