Actually I like it when they confirm the order cause there are so many people in my area that steal food
@lJayMartinl3 ай бұрын
I think the only issue with that is you lose time especially when you have to still walk back to your car. You get dinged if you are late delivering the order. I understand the need to though and it's unfortunate that people would do that to hard working people. I've heard so many stories delivering orders it's ridiculous to me. Hopefully they can find a way to stop people from doing this.

My area is semi-rural so there are lots of long distance offers that take me way out of the zone and I always go through a debate of earn by order so I can decline those if the tip isn't worth it vs earn by time where I get a few pence for the extra time (and sometimes distance pay) those take.

1:41 honest question as I have never done EBT. Why unassign if it’s on EBT? I’ve considered doing EBT recently because of stuff like this where I have to wait 10-20 minutes for an order. That and I have to decline so many orders without tip going 5-15 miles away.
@DoordashDiaries3 ай бұрын
Even though I get paid per minute with EBT, the amount I earn may be less than if I were on a regular order I can complete faster. So unassigning helps me avoid wasting time on orders with a long wait time. Plus with worry free its almost like they feel the same way

Why would you unassign on earn by time? You're getting paid per active hour, so it doesn't matter how long the wait is. As a matter of fact, you don't get paid for that wasted time waiting if you cancel. The point of earning by time is to get as many ACTIVE hours as possible, so wait times are actually good for you.
@DoordashDiaries2 ай бұрын
Long story short. If it’s going to reduce my overall hourly I’m ok with letting it go. If I wait I’m only guaranteed $15 a hour but if the next order has a pace of $20/hr I’m winning. I’m going to think of a better example or way to say it but you’re losing money
