Perfect video! That last part is a big deal to me, since I've experienced it. A customer commented that it took a very long time, she ordered 830pm and I delivered at 10pm I tried to tell her if other drivers declined the order it takes longer but she didn't seem to understand. Our rating should solely be on if we got it to them in "one piece" if stuff is everywhere in the bag or spilled or no straws/napkins/condiments by all means rate me accordingly but if I put napkins utensils/condiments/straw and sent you a text saying I'm on my way and how long till I'm there, I think I've done all I can to deserve that rating. One last thing, doordash should enable tipping after the fact so when they rate they can say consider tipping again and customer can add to it. I used a shopping app once and when I rated the delivery person (who also does the shopping) tipping option was there again so I added a few dollars since my produce and everything was perfect. Sorry for the lengthy comment!

Daniel Gamboa - Thanks for the comment Daniel. It's all about educating the customer and communication. I hope the customers find this useful. I agree with you about the tip option after the fact. When you go to rate, there could be an option for that. I'm sure we will see over time many changes good and bad.

A food warmer keeps food warm. It can be a light that sits just above the food or the bag you are issued at DoorDash. It just keeps the food warm, so the customer doesn't have to eat cold food.

Mike as a customer. I usually order between $20 and $50 . I usually give $5 but on apps they say I should be tipping more. The drivers never go more than 2.5 miles. I want to be fair

JaNelle JG - Thanks for asking. To me it’s what you feel is fair. Once you place your order, the driver sees the final cash he receives and can reject the order if he is not happy with that amount. Between $5 and $8 would sound fair to me for a $20 - $50 order.

Mike yeah its different for app orders. When I'm calling direct to a pizza place they think a $5 tip is good. Through apps y'all have to go to the restaurant then the home so its more work. A lot of time by the time I add up the tip, service charge and food mark up...I end up just getting my lazy ass up

Why don’t the seal the bags like UBER Eats does with a big sticker. I ordered and my food was awful cold for using DoorDash for the first time. Do you use insulated bags to keep food hot or cold? My order was handed in a store paper bag and not that

I personally use the insulated bag but I can’t speak for everyone. It comes down to customer service and that’s important to me. Sorry your food was cold.
