Hi Mike, thanks for your uplifting support. About my orientation, I got to the place a little earlier than the start time due to no parking space at the place and also very busy streets in West Hollywood area. But workers were kinda snobby for some reason and told me that I came too early and come back on exact time for the orientation. I was like.. okay. I didn't know 10 minutes early was too early, you know...lol so, that's that. the OT was simply yet very quick. There was quite of people there with me. They only handed me one hot bag with the hmmm someting to cover the food? that was it. I wish I could've got doordash hat but they did not have it. :(

10 minutes was too early? 😆 Good for you for being early. That shows me you are responsible and dedicated. I didn’t even know they had hats. I could use one to cover my bald head in these hot summer months. Maybe you can find one on eBay or something. I wish you the best of luck out there and remember to drive safe!

I started Doordash yesterday 4/30. Did about 7 deliveries for about 4 hours. I really like it. Wanted to make extra money on the side.

DoorDash Mike Thanks. I have a question so I had my first hiccup lol as you say. If you're on the way to a pick up and a customer cancels on the way. But it goes through already how do I go about that?

I've never had that happen Desmond but I would immediately pull over and contact support through your app. Let them know what happen and they will direct you on what to do. I'm sorry that happen to you but thanks for sharing. Since I have never experienced that, I would like to know how support handles it.

DoorDash Mike Doordash couldn't cancel it once the order went through. The order was from skyline chili. Customer couldn't cancel it from her end. So unfortunately I was told by them to mark it as delivered even tho it didn't get delivered. Still got payment for it too.

It really not worth doing but after every delivery, you can log off shift and look. I never worry about it really, I just keep driving and do as many deliveries as possible.

Mystic Virgo - yes that’s about average but there are even better days. It’s nice as a secondary job because there are no bosses breathing down your neck and no schedule you’re stuck with.

I work for FedEx Express which is a "company delivery" job and make just short of $30 an hour. Starting pay for a rookie is like low $20's an hour. You get about $1.50 raise a year plus 401K, benefits, pension etc.

She'sSoBrauny - I’ve never had any issue with my dashes not coming up or getting paid for them. I would continue to reach out to support until I got a hold of someone.
