As a independent truck driver also, I also doordash which is a very smaller version of truck driving. The key thing is to say no to cheap freight or cheap orders in this case. If your miles is higher than what you're expected to be paid, refuse it. Your goal is to try to make anywhere over $2 per mile. The higher the better

I just had my first day door dash n agree I will not do another chick fil A order found out we have 2 locations on same street 3 blocks from each other one is in a mall I have to upstairs to food court n another 3 blocks away parking very difficult (small parking lot) on same street was very confused but wiser now now I know we chick fil A in the mall ( I’m not a mall person) to hard to park n fight crowds to get in food court 😂learning curve 😂

Hi. I've been doing UberEats for a week and love it. And just was finally able to sign up in my area to deliver for Doordash today and was basically already approved to Dash! In Uber Eats I have opted out of alcohol deliveries and any orders for shop and pay. In this vid you said the order was already paid for and ready to go. What is the "Red Card"? Will you get orders that you have to pay for or orders for alcohol or can you opt out of those UP FRONT so you don't even get them?... OR do you have to review the order in full when you get the request to see if you have to shop and pay or if there is alcohol involved. Great vid walk-thru, thank you for sharing!

Thank you for a clear explanation of how it works. I watched a beginner video from some kid who was profane and door dash wasn't clear on how to do this. However, you made simple and understandable. I did one but and canceled order cause i couldn't find restaurant or know where to deliver. I may try again. But, i need to know how to make it worth the gas and other expenses as a beginner. I do not live in a big city, and live 5-6 miles from the closest store. I know living that far out, I have to tip well to make it worth someone’s time/gas to bring it to me. I tip no less that $10, and more more if it’s a large grocery delivery. If I had deliveries all the time, I wouldn’t be able to afford to do that, but I usually only get stuff delivered a couple times a month, so it’s worth it to me. Get up and go get it yourself if you don’t want to tip drivers.

Watching this before getting out there to try it out. I use to do postmates it was not worth it they wouldn't tell you how much you would make until dropping the food off. They ended up getting sued because they were stealing from drivers and keeping some of the tips. Gas went up and I quit. Hoping door dash is better to me as a part time income

the only issue I have is that the app doesn't tell you exactly where the person lives until AFTER you've already accepted and picked up the order. at that point you're kinda stuck.. the other day I picked up an order 2 mins away (around the area i scheduled), only to find out I had to drive 30 minutes into an area I've never been to. I'm not sure why they haven't fixed that yet.

Door dash won't let me dash unless I schedule a dash. But it only gives me a 90 minute schedule to dash. I need to work longer than that to earn money.😳
