This man is capping hard LOL DD is paying him well to continue to spread misinfo. The TRUTH is, DD is dying in EVERY market, same with the other apps. Trying to maintain the "platinum" status, will cause you to go broke, because you will be taking a bunch of low ball offers, while not bringing in enough to cover the cost of the EXTREMELY long distance trips. That is the scam, that this app runs on unsuspecting newbies who have yet to figure the game out, in order for them to still get their trash delivered. It simultaneously destroys your car, costs you MORE ( out of YOUR own pocket) in gas to drop some of these "high paying" orders off, than you actually make off the order. Essentially you are working, to lose money. HOW does that make sense? LOL You have to cherry pick the orders, and multi app to be profitable. Screw the high acceptance rate, unless you have a sick fetish of impoverishing yourself. I also notice, there is NEVER a disclaimer given, that these tips aren't a one size fits all markets. Low acceptance rate, low mileage, high payout, are the ways to go!

Not taking order is going to leave you broke. You’re speaking from hypotheticals not experience. If you had experience you would know you can’t eliminate them but we’re substantially more good orders then bad. If I take an order that $24,$11 & $15 who’s tripping about a $6? Your mindset is trying to scare other people again based on something you have no real experience from. Driving your car in whatever form is going to wear on your car. You know this up front and it’s smart to budget for maintenance. Essentially you’re trying to run people off so you can have more orders. 🤦🏾‍♂️ DoorDash (the people who send you orders) has said several times you need a higher acceptance rate to get better orders. @@DoordashDiaries Trust me my man, I have experience. I've been doing this for the last 7 years sir. Once again, each experience is specifically market based. That being said, from what I've noticed, just by seeing a majority of posts on the internet, and talking to a lot of drivers in real life, is that, an overwhelming majority of the orders they receive are garbage. EVEN IF they have platinum status. It doesnt make little to no difference whether you have platinum tier, gold tier, silver tier, shit tier, or whatever. Yea, I will admit, with higher tiers, you do get more orders consistently and have the "dash now" feature, which is slightly useful. But a majority of the time, even these "platinum" drivers are STILL sitting around for long periods, waiting for orders, and getting a majority of low ball offers, when they FINALLY do receive them. Yes you are correct in your assessment of your car being destroyed one way or another. BUT, "which scenario destroys your car quicker, and which nets you the most profit in the case of this happening?" is the logical, intellectual question you must ask yourself. Is it A.) Low money, high miles, taking every offer to become a "platinum driver"?. Or B.) Low miles, while cherry picking high paying orders, and multi apping? Yes you're likely to receive less higher paying offers on low tiers, I agree with that, but it's STILL possible nonetheless, and this is where having multiple apps makes up for for the down time in between, while cherry picking on DD.

I'd like to give one more tip as a new driver because it helped me A LOT. If you're not a diamond rank driver, reaching a diamond must be your priority. Because being able to dash anytime is unbelievably important. If you're not a diamond, you have to schedule yourself for a specific area. And sometimes DD gives you an order that sends you to a different zone. If you don't have "dash now priority", you'll have to drive back to your zone. I've been there. It sucks.

One of reasons drivers don’t make better tips is apartment delivery I don’t how many times I have to chase down order because they leave it wherever they want and I have to search a 300 plus unit building and I’m disabled I’m not tipping for that shoddy service most dashers here are under 30 still living at home with parents and they don’t care plus their customer service stinks and they have poor consumer practices I don’t be routed to the philapenes and no one speaks word of decent English

Nothing better than being informed when you sign in that you are a top driver and will be receiving high paying order and for the next 8-10 hours don't receive anything paying more than $5.00 including top and don't dare refuse orders because your rating drops and surprise you are no longer a dasher!

Bentley receives money from DoorDash for videos. He is a part of the content creator program that DoorDash pays some content creators to produce “positive “ videos . I get what he’s doing but it’s the truth. I like how Bentley said we have the choice of declining orders hahah. Not really Bentley . If we declined very many will be in the lower tier bracket and will get even worse orders. The facts are we can’t decline very much now compared to years ago. I’ve been door dashing for five years, and I have thousands and thousands and thousands of deliveries all up and down the east coast . I’m not some new dasher I’m a very experienced delivery driver in the orders. Do not pay as good as they did years ago. Customer’s are not tipping like they did before. The delivery fees are a lot higher than they were before. You can still make money here, but in most markets, the money is terrible compared to years ago.

Door dash is no longer a good source of income, they play way to many games, sending orders that's so low, example: $3/ 6miles then when you don't take that they leave you sitting on side of the road for hours, you can no longer pay a bill with door dash!

@@artisticboundaries trust me I put the app on pause when I go by McDonald's trying to get away from them can't stand them it's always a very low paying order Little Caesars too but no the problem is there's too many dashers logged on at one time I even put my shopping back on which I used to turn that off because they will send you orders The only thing I don't like about that I don't mind going to like raley's Bel-Air's but when it's just a random store and it doesn't tell you where the items are and you're wandering around this store lost trying to find stuff just take so much time.

I do upstate NY and my zip code is 13482 and I have to drive an hour and a half out to Binghamton ny where they give me bunches of offers however 90 percent of them are 2.50 to 6.00 or involve incredible problems such as Google glitches or unlabeled addresses or security gates or college campuses, or medical facilities or other nonsense that slows everything down

Why does it say all over the app that customers tip doesn't affect Base Pay? In my experience it not only affects Base Pay it determines Base pay. 9.8 miles $11.50 tip and $2.50 Base pay. .9 miles with no tip $2.50 Base Pay. I am watching this closely and it is consistent with every order the more generous the tip the less reasonable the Base pay. I am a Platinum Dasher and I do pretty well but if Door Dash Pay was calculated the way the app explains it I could do a lot better. The company is dishonest and basically pays as little as possible to make it an attractive offer. They are not paying their fare share, I guess algorithms and AI can't be expected to practice integrity.

🤦🏾‍♂️ you are working multiple apps with the same car and you think it’s less wear and tear. That literally doesn’t make sense. My AR is 80% I had an order for $48 going 4 miles. The order before it was $11 for 3 miles and the order after was a stacked paying $8 for miles. Ended up with a quick $68 in 2 and half real time hours.

Did you get business insurance or ask if you are covered at all of you use your vehicle part time to deliver or take passengers? The easiest money could bankrupt you and put you in jail for fraud. Be careful. If it’s your business or side gig, nothing will be covered under a standard policy.

Maintaining 70% (or 80%+!} for Platinum is going to lead you into many zero-tippers. Why not block them as you find them, and be done with them, never to waste an AR point on their lowballed, zero-tipped offers again? I, for one, would rather not see habitually zero-tipped offers getting in the way of tipped trips. Weed them out, one by one, by blocking them, and soon enough you will only be dealing with customers who tip.

How do you block a customer. I have one that orders every night never tips. I end up waiting in long line at McDonald's Drive through and deliver to his mansion. I hate to unassign orders although I have let his go a few times. I really am all about customer service but chances are I am the only Dasher available so he won't get his order. If we continue to reward customers like that nothing will change.

The truth is that it's DD that is 100% responsible based on the terrible orders they send me. The only way it makes any sense is if I was doing pay by hour, but I'd end up driving my car into the ground and using a lot more fuel and still make less than pay by order.
