DoorDash pay may change in 2019. Thanks to Instacart DoorDash is been put in the spotlight for “stealing tips from drivers” and the dashers are upset. I received an email today from DoorDash asking for dashers to take a survey. I’m hoping all the doordash drivers take part and help get some better pay.

I NEVER tip on DoorDash app anymore. The drivers told me that they didn't get their tips in my area. I messaged DoorDash about it and heard NOTHING back from them. I ALWAYS tip cash to the Dasher now.

I have done more than 10 thousand deliveries since 2015 and I know the $1 base pay model is worse than the previous model.

I totally agree with you. DoorDash has no right to user customers' tips to cover the delivery pay. I am not happy with the $1 base pay model, and I know that almost all Dashers I know are not happy either. Hopefully, there will be new law coming out soon to ensure that DoorDash has to pay at least minimum wage. On average a dasher can do two deliveries per hour, and DoorDash has to pay at least $7.5 per delivery, just like when the minimum wage was $10.50 in California and DoorDash paid $6.50 per delivery before 2017. DoorDash did the right thing before they changed to $1 base pay model. When they changed to $1 base pay model, I knew that they did it for their own benefit, and drivers can earn less with the model. They lied that most Dashers are happy with the $1 base pay model because none of the dashers, whom I knew before and I have a chance to talk to about the model, is happy with the model.

If the law changes I wonder if that would end DoorDash. They can't afford that unless they charge a lot more to the customer. We'll see how this plays out.

Doordash already charges higher prices for menu items of many merchants. I'm not sure how you thought this would be a change or negate the need to profit from delivery fees.

Cherry picking is taking place in my town with Dashers. They are taking the high-end restaurant deliveries, leaving me with fast food restaurants (no tips) but since I am dirt poor, I have to accept the jobs.

EXCLUDE the TIPS, STOP sending the dasher OUT OF HIS area. and rate the dasher only on picking up the food and delivering it. Time is a joke, cause restaurant always late.

The clowns at doordash DO NOT listen to their deliverers' concerns. If they did, they would certainly have addressed their unfair rating system also. The only reason why doordash is even halfway caring about improving their payment structure it is because things are uncomfortable for them now.

The customer rateing system changed from 4.5 to 4.2 now buddy. Try to get reactivated again. They are letting tons of deactivated drivers get reactivated again. The best week I ever had at Door Dash was $1,450.00. I average $215 dollars a day total.

@@briandm33 Reading comprehension is not your strong suit.. Where do you get the erroneous assumption that I am not activated??? I have never been deactivated... buddy. There are many drivers whose ratings continuously plummet down to the 4.2 mark although they are providing good service anyway. I maintained a 4.9 and sometimes 5.0 during the two years I was with Postmates. It is laughable that you are bragging about how much you make. LOL But since you are... I will tell you that I average more than that with Caviar. There are various factors that come into play though; the amount of orders you get, the amount of hours you put in, how busy your market is etc.

Today was my first day dashing and I made $55 in 3.75 hours. I have a feeling this is going to be the exception rather than the rule. That being said I wish the pay scale was more consistent so that if we have to drive farther we get paid more. All that being said, I really enjoyed it :)

Good point! ,I also got the email today, and yesterday I got two double deliveries, good thing I found the task bar! One of the double deliveries were from the same place at once, which worked out great for me. I'll be going back to my email and participating in the round table. Myself on the average will do 77.00- 113.00 a day and I use 20.00 for gas. Those are based on a 3.9 hour day. This upcoming Monday i was lucky to get 11- 7..and I just may extend it, if possible. It's a great side hustle to pay those credit cards and Bill's!.. no problem so far, but I did have one nut of a lady, and I submitted my input to doordash. One nut out of all basically nice people.

@@DailyPayBootcamp , I just got to Moes, slid that I arrived and it came in another order for B.K. , I must admit I was like..what? But hit accept cause I didn't want to lose that order. After my pickup from moe's. I had to find that task bar to switch back to my moe's order to deliver then go pick up the B.K. order that came in...its all good, and I find this fun actually, but yes, we do deserve more$ for certain orders.

Without their dashers, they wouldn't even have a business. They'd have 1/3; the affiliate restaurants. If there are no dashers, people would be right back where they were before these businesses started - picking their order up themselves. Lose enough dashers/drivers, customers stop using your app and your business is fried.

Listen to this was on a run they sent me all the way on a long run I been on long runs all day long ok they sent me on this long run only to find out it was a large coke order at Wendy’s this made me fuming mad at dd those fucking clowns 🤡 I had to more hours to go and they gave me a Steak ‘n Shake run heAr at this Steak ‘n Shake I don’t advise anyone to go I seen how they make there burgers and I don’t see who they stay in business I see people walking out all the time there upset at them this one will be on my no fly list along with Harry’s, hooters and beef o Brady’s I am tired of waiting 15 to a half an hour there food I am so fed up with dd it’s not funny please send me the link I sure want to report the clowns they call the help
