DoorDash Pay Scale Change... bad or good? DoorDash earnings can be great but there are things to keep in mind. Your direct pay from DoorDash isn't usually that great but you make the most from your tips. That's really the bread and butter of our pay! Recently they made a change to the pay scale which I don't seem to care for. I would love to hear what you think on this topic or how you have done with the earning changes. They just sent this pay model to my market in Dallas but it's only a test on the Facebook group page a lot of people are going to stop working until they put the old scale back

Make sure everyone votes to keep the old pay scale at the end of the test run. Not sure if our votes count but it doesn't hurt to make them aware. Hopefully Dallas stays with the old model and keep you guys earning more.

They added that new pay base in orlando too..... im glad I KZbind info about it... bc, i think it really is not worth it. Here in orlando, sad to say... people don’t tip delivery drivers. Regardless of the company or restaurants.

They don't tip much here either in Phoenix. Sometimes there is a bonus offered when DoorDash is busy and you could get an extra $1 or $2 when they need drivers. It's nice having no boss breathing down your neck though.

Hi Mike..enjoy your videos. Keep up the good work! I Dash in the Chandler area, and yes, I was a little concerned when I first started seeing the details of the 'Delivery Pays' on some of the deliveries I had made. But when I looked at them and averaged them out over the course of an entire dash (I usually dash for 4 to 5 hours at a time), I noticed that they averaged from $5.00 to $5.50 per run. Which is better than the flat $4.50 they used to pay. :) Now, your mileage may vary, of course, depending on times/areas you work. But its been working out pretty well for me so far. What has ME a little more concerned lately is their new policy concerning scheduling, where if you miss a Dash, you are penalized by not being able to schedule a dash until a day later than others. I mean, I understand trying to curb last minute cancellations, but with this new policy you may be penalizing people who have legitimate reasons for cancelling (sick/car trouble, etc).

Thank you for commenting plwtexas and sharing your experiences. That's good to know that you feel the pay is better. Since the kids are out of school, I've very limited on driving and don't really have enough data to determine that yet. As for the new cancellation policy, I can understand where you are coming from. As a business move, it's wise on their part because if they don't have drivers, they can't deliver the food which means unhappy customers. As for the drivers, they may start to feel like it's a real time job and have to report in and that will make it lets flexible. As drivers we enjoy the freedom to come and go as we please but this may cause issues. I'm sure you can still log in as a DASH NOW if there are no scheduling spots available. Time will tell!

In Scottsdale, I met a lady delivering for Door dash who said she was making $500/week mainly on weekends. If you deliver for awhile and do a certain number of hours per week, she says they can move you into more lucrative jobs catering delivering, at larger fees. My impression is Door dash will give newer or small delivery numbers drivers the pocket change orders, but there's a level you can get to where $30 orders come through. She said so, and had been doing it for awhile.

Sarah Sisler - you are correct. They want dependable drivers and they look at your ratings and total deliveries before moving you into bigger and better things. Mystic Virgo Yes, I think so. She said after a period of doing deliveries for DoorDash, she was issued an invitation to train to do the catering orders. She had just delivered a larger order for which she'd been paid $36. She said she worked Thursday and Friday nights and weekends, and was making $500 per week.

Pablo Sillas - Yes Pablo I have and it's also harder to just dash unscheduled. I believe the schedule opens for 6 days in advance. Some elite Dasher get them a day earlier but that's all I know.

I believe your tip comes in after the fact but don't quote me on that. I would write down the amount it says before you accept the delivery and then see what you got paid later. This is what I found directly from the DoorDash site for you: DoorDash will show you the guaranteed amount you'll earn for completing a delivery before you choose to accept or reject that order. The guaranteed amount is based on a variety of factors including the size of the order, whether you have to place the order in person, and the projected driving distance, traffic, parking, and wait time at the store.

From my xp this is how it works I'm from Phoenix drive in north Phoenix. Doordash guarantees you'll make this much say 6.50 what doordash does is they'll pay u 1 dollar and the rest you get is from customer tips now say the customer tip is 5 bucks then door dash will give you 1.50 to make up the difference now if customer gives you 5.50 tip then doordash will only give you a dollar. Now sometimes you'll get lucky and you'll accept a 5 dollar guaranteed drop it off and you get 11 what happened well doordash gave you a dollar and you got tipped 10 bucks. So what I would suggest don't drop an order just because it says 6 dollars for 13 miles. You never know how much that customer is going to tip you.....On the short side you are promised that if you get 100% of the orders accepted you'll get mw if you skip an order you don't know exactly how long you'll be waiting for the next one. And since you drop the order you won't make mw.......at least.

As far as diet, look into keto. Once you’ve been successful with that for a few weeks, start time restricted eating/ intermittent fasting. DM me if you’d like more info. Keto will keep you satiated once you get past the carb cravings.

@@DailyPayBootcamp look into Magnesium, Probiotics an Prebiotics. But do a thorough research on the Magnesium cuz thr are many. I dont get winded anymore climbing stairs or cramps. Probiotics will help digest your food better an cure acid reflux it did for me. So no more pills. This is from my experience.

That's not good Dennis. I had some issues when signing up as well. I went down to the office and spoke with someone in person which helped fix my problem immediately. Give GrubHub a shot and let us know how that turns out.

Mike ive been fired from Grubhub twice now and reactivated lol. The pays not too bad, but if you, like me end your shift like 30 mins early they will try to fire you. Alot of times on fri sat i can make $20+ an hour. Most the time any hours i work will make between $11-13 per hour.

Mike yeah the one time they fired me was they changed region bounds and mine kept swapping back and forth. Called, emailed etc... they said dont worry. Week later im deactivated due to being out of region that day lol! Then day after the email is finally responded to bitching me out, I was just like wait this is your guys fault not mine and i called and emailed and waited over a week for a response... so they reactivated me. Kinda ridiculous.

Mike how do u keep a good customer rating , doing stacked orders make the customers pissed off and they give u a bad customer rating as when u do stacked orders they need to alter the time was telling them for quite some time but with luck this is why I am ruled out of this stupid new plan they are talking about .if u read what I read in there memo u can see let us know when u want to be out there Evan in the gray area u will still have power over the dd drivers let us know so we won’t put u out in front of to many drivers wtf? To be honest Randy, I never had many stacked orders. I've only had this happen twice, so I can't really say. They are always trying new things to see what works best but not sure how to really fix it. The customer probably sees you on the app driving around after getting their food and that's why they taste you lower. They may not know you have other deliveries stacked. That's all I can think of but who knows for sure.

I told them this they didn’t listen to me coach Jake told me to decline multi orders it only ruins ur customers score this is why I have this 4.50 customer rating the money is good for them but the price u pay I can’t get into this program have to have a 4.6 or more so now I will have to play it smart until I get this score up if they want to fire me well it may not be a bad idea 😂

Anyone have any good ideas / strategy for being able to always get signed on for a shift? (for Doordash) The scheduling portion of the app gives me like 30 minutes to 1&1/2 hour shifts at the most in my area. I used to be able to call "customer support" and they would clock me in, but starting last week they put the kibosh on that! Damn. I was working 10-12 hours a day!, but now....bupkis. Anyone have any slick ideas on this?

ArDubya the more drivers, the harder it gets. Even if I don't get a shift, I try the DashNow button. You could also try picking up those short shifts and before it ends, try to extend your time. I found that to work quite a few times.
