I mean depends on your market area (Long island). This is my first full week dashing (m-sun) & I have made $200 for 15hrs in total this week. being that this is my side job, I feel happy that I met my goal in fair enough amount of work put in for the week. however, this is only week one & could possibly have a different opinion by the end of the month. I def understand the pay structure better now though. thank you !

That’s a great attitude to have. Many complain but I don’t see them rushing out to work at McDonald’s instead. Every job has its pros and cons.

I’m doing DD just super part time, but I’ve been doing it since last September. It definitely seems like the pay is different than it was when I first started. No I’m not happy with the amounts some of these deliveries pay, but I’ve learned to decline small amounts, especially during busy times. I hate it when I have issues with the app in the middle of a peak time and if I miss one because of this it goes against my percentage delivered for bonuses.

Thank you for sharing Julie. It seems like all of us have been experiencing less pay. That’s smart to decline but keeping it in small amounts. It won’t hurt you as much and you should be fine. That sucks to have app issues during the peak time.

Julie Hautzinger it’s so annoying! I was on peak pay and was about to get all my bonuses and it had me deliver to places where I had no reception so I couldn’t accept the next delivery and I lost all my bonus and most of my profits since I have to drive 45 mins to the next city to actually start doordash

No not happy at all, the minimum here in Vegas is 7.00. I just did an order that took me 7 miles out of my zone to drop off only to get 7.11. Then I had to drive back to my zone in order to get another order. Turned out to be a 16 mile round trip just to get 7.11. The only reason I accepted the order was because I hadn’t gotten an order in nearly 2 hours and my shift was about to end so I needed to make something.

Yikes, $7 for 16 miles hurts but I can understand why you did it. I’m sure it can be a pain to drive in Vegas too. Hopefully things get looked into by DoorDash and they change their ways.

Well I totally get it because when I was a waitress we made $2.13 an hour and relied mostly on tips to earn a living so doordash runs like that and I don’t have a problem with my clients of DD tip well and I usually make $15 to $20 an hour working with DD and I’m satisfied with that

So DoorDash steals the drivers tips in order to pay the driver with the tip. Nice. It probably won't prevent me from signing up for them to get more deliveries than Uber Eats provides, but the model pisses me off overall.

It’s not a good thing that’s for sure but having both Uber Eats and DoorDash apps running, you could do pretty well with hardly any down time.

@@DailyPayBootcamp if a customer pays you what they would have paid DD in cash then you get a negative and every dash you do goes to that negative until you pay it off then the difference is you'd. Its in their payment policy.

I was getting ripped off as being a driver I got a $5.62 offer I asked a customer how much you tip me they said $3.20. DD really paid me $2.42 (minus The tip driving 7.3 miles from restaurant to their house. They let me take a screenshot of the tip they gave me

Yep, that’s why drivers are protesting right now. It’s not right that DoorDash uses the tip to help pay the driver so they pay less.

As someone who uses the service, why should I tip before service is render. A tip is generally rendered after service. So no way I'll leave a tip b4 service is render.

I to agree, but my experience is when dasher see an order paying only $5 it gets declined over and over making the order late which if the person is tipping cash may not tip the final driver who takes that order.

That’s why when I was a delivering food, I put the customer first. I believe in karma and 98% of the time I accepted every order I received.

DoorDash Mike I also do the same and that is how I know we dasher on a $5.00 order make now more than that and then WE get the negative review because the customer doesn't realize WE were the third or more dasher assigned to the order.

So glad I work for GrubHub where I get a base delivery fee per order that doesn't change based on the customer tip. DD is screwing you and demanding you provide the lube.

I like the pay structure here in Utah . The minimum garrentee is $6.50 and they give extra pay during lunch and dinner time's

Well your not surviving from tips , Your survival is the deliveries - Cause without deliveries you make no money Now Pizza Delivery people rely on Tips cause they get paid about average $1 for each delivery then the tip comes in
