I’ve done this before, although I would crouch and see more behind. This wouldn’t work before an update so you’d need to hold a room key to see through the wall more.

with modifiers, it's annoying as you have to keep track of every door and it gets really annoying sometimes, especially if rush opens the door and you couldn't see the number, also with modifiers you can't hear dupe basically, if it's too late to read the number, this method will help you

For the Greenhouse, you can just look through the doors if the next room is there or not. If it's pitch black, then it's a dupe.

In the mines and hotel, you can check for the median, or the number in the middle. This only works with an odd amount of doors btw. Whichever door number is in the middle between the other ones is the correct one

The strategy I do is when I open the door and if its a dupe I quickly go back to the previous door before it gets scribbled out

You can do this in super hard mode if you have a flashlight and crouch next to the wall and keep turning on and off your flashlight since it pushes you forward a bit

Something that I do is just write the ones digit of whatever room I’m looking for. For example, if I’m looking for Room 43, I’ll write “3” in the chat so I know what door to look for, and Dupe can’t fool me with any other door since they’ll all have different ones digits.

fact that i found, if you have a potato memory like me: if there is only 3 doors with numbers, choose a door with an average value (for example if there is door 9, 7, 8. pick the door 8.

I do NOT recommend using any glitches to helpy you figure out dupe. They will get patched and frankly, it’s kinda worthless, as you can just listen or keep track of the number.
