The rate of entities spawning was really high when the mines were first released so that's why you were getting bombarded by screeches and the monkey things. They fixed it now tho so it should be a lot easier and more enjoyable

The Halt was introduced in floor 1 the reason its puzzle is kind of hard is that you were meant to know how to handle it already (not really helpful since its kinda rare on floor 1)

The "monkey things" are giggles and they jump on your face if you're under them but they get stunned by light sources (except lighter) The red thing in the lockers is hide and it's different in floor 2 because it stays in the locker you were in and will get you out if you try to get back in so if ambush is coming change lockers (btw if someone else hides in a locker you can switch lockers with them if ambush is coming)
