theres a new update that made dupe scratch the number off of the key just like the doors to make it harder. to beat dupe just go close enough to the door and if you hear its growling youll know dupe is behind that door

@@ExpansiveVoid.lavivruS there can be up to 4 doors in a room (2 dupe doors, 1 real and the door you opened to get to that room) but only 1 key and the new update allows dupe to scratch the number off the key just like the door you came through so you just have to listen for its growling as you get close to the dupe doors

Aftermodifiers update the key number will be hidden, and also doors write 6,8,9 and probably 0 in a weird way that makes it harder to see the true number (before they make the number if the key hidden in the modifiers update).

Fun fact: If your in a dark room with dupe, theres a chance the label fell off, but if it didn't, heres how to not fall for dupe: Wait for guiding light to spawn, the door that has a dimmer light is dupe door, and the one with a brighter light is the correct door.

This is incorrect. If you’re in a dark room with Dupe, yes, Guiding Light will make the Dupe door or doors dimmer. However, doors with fallen labels are either Dupe doors ignored by the player because of their movement to the next room, Dupe doors a crucifix was used on, or, if the door’s label has already fallen off, Dupe us either no longer in the room, or was never there to begin with. Just die a few times and you’ll learn all you need to know.

Another way to beat dupe: if lucky, you might be able to hear rain ambience behind one of the doors but not the other. Helped me once, but it only works if doors are apart, not close.

Yes I know it happened to me also. I escaped running from seek (and I'm a person who never gets duped by dupe these days BC I got the hang of it cause I count every door every time) and after running from seek there were 2 dupe doors close to each other and since I had gotten distracted by seek I forgot the door number and I tried to listen the thunder grumbling sounds but I couldn't tell and picked the wrong door to get duped by dupe😂

And it’s much quieter than most entities. A-60 is difficult to hear until it’s almost too late. That’s why I prefer to use a Flashlight because not only is it brighter but it’s easier to hear entities when you’re not constantly shaking the Shakelight.

I figured out, first, backstory, So I was in a room with a key. There was a dupe door. I came over to try to hear the noise. HE ATTACKED ME WHEN I DIDNT OPEN THE DOOR So I figured out he CAN attack you even though the door is locked. has this ever happened to you?

The lock is fake on the Dupe Door. Even if you don’t have the key it will still trigger Dupe’s attack if you attempt to open it.

In the dark rooms, guiding light will expose dupe recealing it by giving the fake doors less light than real doors (real foors will be brighter than fake doors) fake doors will have a bit dark blue fusioned witha bit of the color green, real doors will have a pure blue light brighting them.
