Nope. The crucifix isnt being controlled by gl. But it’s her power turned into an object. It works on living and non living beings. Making it totally possible to crucify a person if you really wanted too. Though I think it’s more complicated. The crucifix isnt being like a bomb. When there’s any harm to it, it goes off. The rat bites the wood, and the crucifix goes off

If you hold out a Crucifix and then talk to El Goblino (even before this update) he says "Hey Hombre, be careful where you swing that thing" (or something similar) implying that YES. Guiding light will crucify ANYTHING that you throw the Crucifix at.

Eventually damaging you and I believe stealing any item from your inventory If you have none she’ll disappear, from what I’ve seen though, she can also steal an item and play with it, basically becoming friendly
