Doosan DL250 with snowblower loading trucks

Very good video! In the town where I worked before, we used to load the trucks in reverse. The truck would pull up with the left side against the snowblower, and then back up as it was filled. Strange way to do it, but it worked well in the downtown area where the snow was plowed into the middle of the road. I think maybe the reason was so that the truck driver could look out at the side of the snowblower and keep the same speed. Sadly I never got any film of that operation!

Samma slunga som vi filmat i Kalix. Fast är det där en Svedala så är den omlackad. Dem är gula. Är Mählers idag som tillverkar dessa numer. 240 står för arbetsbredd och 80 för diameter på "kniven"

thanks! ok, haha it would looked funny to see that with the truck in reverse, do they use a blower in your town now? i think the truck is in front of the blower because they dont want to be in the way for the traffic, the street gets narrow sometimes =)

Ya, it was ok during night operations but it got confusing for drivers and dangerous if it was done during the day. Yes they still use a snowblower to fill the trucks. Sometimes they use loaders too, like when loading snow from the public parking lots, or if it is too warm and the snow is sticky and will block the blower. They used an old self propelled snow blower, SMI 5250 i think, but last year they got a new loader-mount unit, a Larue D60. The old machine is now on back-up duty.

Must be difficult for the truck drivers at first to drive the right speed, that one truck only got half the load that others got full.

jo den filmen har jag sett, jo det är en svedala arbrå, läste på tillverkningsplåten, den är tillverkad 1986 så den måste vara omlackad för att passa doosan antar jag =)
