The experimental cannon changes are a mixed bag. Aesthetically, the new moves sound and look far better. In terms of gameplay, I think the slight change was entirely good, and nlight has traded longer active frames for lower risk when using the move. However, dair's hitbox got gutted; the new hitbox only hits diagonally, whereas the old dair has a huge diagonal swing. I feel that the new dair is whiffing in plenty of situations where the old dair would have hit because of this. The new dair also goes straight through the wall off-stage and would be much improved if it had a slight AoE on impact. To be honest, though, I'm personally not a big fan of cannon in general and the new cannon hasn't added new options, so I'm still sleep. The gauntlets buffs are a bit confusing, particularly the ground pound startup buff (3 frames faster). This will primarily buff its offstage potential, and it definitely doesn't need help in that area. Nair buff +1 frame of stun is okay, but that still leaves it as a setup tool, and it seems pretty clear to me that the move was intended to be a combo tool when it was created. On stage, the move simply does not put them at a great angle for setting up reads. The only change I really like is the slight hitbox buff.

That was awesome! The training room combo was sick as well, still doing them I see What do you think of the new gauntlets changes btw? Gotta jump read after gp but strings/combos are more consistent and nair strings have 1 dodge frame if executed perfectly now. At least gave me a bit of spirit back for playing more gaunts
