Smooth guitar work at the start(even smoother than gilmour i think), more improvised middle part, at first thought i didn't like it(middle part) but its actually really smooth but in my opinion less funky than the original but more modern feel(especially the singing which is really good). This would be excellent to see live(a must see). Great job dopapod A+++++ !!!!!!

Your comparing a average at best guitar player to possibly the most soulful guitarist of all time. I agree this is a pretty good cover for a up an coming jam band, dont get me wrong, but no where in the same atmosphere as Pink Floyd

Brandon Cargile It is pretty smooth at the start though, i only meant at the start. Gilmour is my favourite guitarist(and pink floyd my fav band) of all time exactly for the same reason you like him(soulful). He is no Dave Gilmour as Dave is able to carry the smoothness and soulfulness right through the song and concert, but still a great effort from this band to recreate one of the greatest epic rock songs of all time. P.s. I reckon this band would be great at covering Animals live

dość wolny o.k. brother. I can agree with that 100%. And yes it is preety smooth and impressive guitar playing. I think Animals would be a great album for them to try and cover, especially "Pigs". Just because you formulate a question doesnt mean that the question is relevant or has meaning. One point...Dopapod is playing a small club, with one guy recording/producing.

It's nice. It does have some kind of resemblance to "echoes" of pink floyd... Creativity is great, but not when it comes to loose the original feeling. Still, I remember that it is one of the longest and hardest parts of Pink Floyd, so it's not easy to play. So nice job guys.

If I ever performed Echoes -- which I won't because I don't have the talent -- I would continue the bass line of the Funky Part throughout the Seagull Part, then fade it out as the Sunrise Part begins.

Great great cover. Have listened to this song a million times since my college days...and a million is only a slight exaggeration. Drums (both in original and this cover) struck me as too busy...what do I know, right?....but seems like drummer should pick his spots instead of constantly filling. Song has sly, effortless groove, smooth as a calm lake; drummer stirs up the water. Again, both original and cover play this way, so its probably my ears. Fact that cover bands in general can make songs sound so great points to one thing...the genius is in the writing. Thats why songwriters get the royalties.

Actually take back my last comment on drums...I didnt listen to whole tune through. (Told you I didnt know anything!) Only opening vocal section seemed too drum-busy....rest of it I loved....actually like this better than the Floyd original. Dopapod drummer has that "X factor", Pink Floyd drummer doesnt.

The bassist played the wrong groove. Very similar to original but it doesn't have the same feel. Listen to the live at Pompeii version of the groove section. The fundamental bass parts feel worlds apart.
