I’ve been using the jumper for over a year and it’s pretty darn terrific. Only downside is that the material isn’t super easy to keep clean if you’re in a lot of mud/dirt.
@DavidManningvlog2 жыл бұрын
I sort of wondered that Tom. At first I loved it because it was so soft and felt really nice, but I could totally see how it might pickup dirt and mud. Have you tried washing it yet? Wonder how it would handle just getting tossed in the wash machine

On their KZbin channel they seemed to say you can just put it in a washing machine on cold, then leave it out with all the pockets open. But not sure if that applies to the camera bag too.

Love seeing your take on this! The jumper was my first camera bag and was solid for a light carry with my crop sensor. Once I started to fill it up, it gets pretty uncomfortable without back padding and those straps. Still love to take it when all I pack is my camera and iPad with minimal accessories. Thanks for the video David!
@DavidManningvlog2 жыл бұрын
Man, I totally agree with you Frank! I think with a camera and just a few accessories, it would be perfect. I could totally see how it might get uncomfortable to carry a ton in there for a long period of time. How has it held up structurally for you? Can it take a bit of abuse?

BRO I took all weekend looking online at an everyday bag for work. Although I did watch the Brevite pack and unpack video, I was still on the fence. After watching this video,YOU TRULY NAILED IT! I love street-photography and for the longest I had two bags I would carry, a back pack and a smaller bag for a Fuji X Pro 3 with one lens attached and an additional lens. It worked but it was cumbersome. I also have a Nikon z 50 with an adapted Voigtlander 40mm | f2. I LOVE to shoot both cameras but could not carry both. With this bag I can while carrying an iPad Pro and my lunch for the day. PERFECT!!!. NOW the killer app you displayed was the ability to removal of all the dividers and have access to the entire bag space. I can now configure it to carry books, workout-gear, and lunch of course. This again is perfect because I want a bag to go to be able to do the following activities. 1. EVERYDAY Carry | Commute and Street-photography on the way to work (Lunch + ipad pro +camera) 2. GYM Workout followed by recce walk-about and stretch during golden hour. 3. Weekend Shenanigans | Light workout + coffee shoppe. * I may need two bags for different occasions. Weekday and Weekend 😁 Thanks again for a solid review. I will order through your affiliate links.

I've had mine for probably around a year and a half now and have liked it quite a bit. The straps are my biggest issue with the bag. Not the most comfortable for me personally, but the overall storage and style are perfect for a minimal look and feel.
@DavidManningvlog2 жыл бұрын
So rad to hear that you like it Jay! I could totally see the straps being an issue if it was loaded up and wearing it for awhile. I dig though that it legit just looks like a normal book bag. I feel like I'm going to get way more use out of this thing than I originally thought👍
@Red-xz1gk2 жыл бұрын
I have this bag and used it for over a year. Low profile, light weight and large inner volume are the pros. But the materials ( no water proof, gathering dust and dirt plus very hard to clean) , quality of the dividers and the Velcros, relatively flimsy straps, weak or lack of proper reinforcement bottom are the least enjoyable parts of the ownership IMO. This is not a cheap bag if paid in full. With a good discount, it may be a good option as a dry weather light duty day bag. But there are some other better options out there at reasonable price.

@DavidManningvlog2 жыл бұрын
Was it a full removable cube? Because I feel like that's the main thing that would make this bag better. It's rad that the dividers pop out so easily, but then it's a pain having to set them back up again. A full cube that you could pull in and out would be dope!

Hey Thank you very much for the Insight. Without using the Daypack compartment

Random question. How long of a video clip in a video should be or general rule of thumb? In other words how long before the veiwer gets bored of a clip? If that makes sense. thanks Love your videos!
@DavidManningvlog2 жыл бұрын
Solid question Tyson! That's going to absolutely depend on the type of video that you're making and what the intended pacing is. There's films that have ten minute shots that are incredible and other films that have a seven second shot and it feels like an eternity. Director's choice man, but I think when you watch back your video, if there's any moment when you're bored hearing yourself talk, cut that out👍

As far as a camera backpack that doesn't look like a camera backpack this nails it. The recurring thing I hear, and it's a huge con, is the Velcro is pretty flimsy. Camera gear shifts around which is def not what you want for your gear. If the pads were sturdier and the velcro was stronger I would buy this bag.

Nice little day pack for around town but it lacks the stiffer structure necessary to actually carry camera gear safely. Unfortunately the bag quickly loses its shape when loaded with cameras/lenses. The dividers are overly long and flexibly so my gear ends up piled up at the bottom of the bag. Would work much better with a camera cube of some sort. It's a shame as the bag is quite handsome and a joy to use and carry otherwise. Little help for v3 Brevitē?

One thing I can't quite understand is why popular youtubers only endorse ridiculously expensive options of items that shouldn't be (backpacks, tripods, etc.) A minimalist backpack for $169?? No thanks. I understand that you pay for quality but in a lot of cases these exorbitant prices for everyday items doesn't always equate to that. There are plenty of options at far more reasonable prices. It baffles me how all these youtubers endorse so many over priced products. I'm not even going to start on the Cuts clothing brand you hype up. $50+ t-shirts? Seriously? Aside from all of that I do enjoy watching your videos reviewing mainstream products that don't reflect above said gripes (cameras, electronic equipment, etc.)
@DavidManningvlog2 жыл бұрын
Totally get that point Alex and Olena! There's multiple factors that weigh into that, but budget is for sure one of them. I think to most photographers $169 for any sort of bag is a pretty solid and affordable price. What I stuffed in there in this video, with laptop included, is around ten thousand dollars worth of gear, so in comparison, the bag price is GREAT! But I also completely understand that everyone looks at price differently. As for the shirts though, get one for Alex and I promise you'll be stoked!😉

great video man, can never have enough varying backpacks in my eyes! I love a super big backpack with a smaller backpack inside, the big backpack holds everything I need for travelling to somewhere, for example if I'm going to climb a Munroe (Large high in Scotland) - I bring the big backpack in the car, filled with everything I might need. Once I arrive, bring out the smaller backpack with GoPro, Insta360 1 R, selfie sticks, attachments etc and a water bottle (so I don't carry a massive load of things). The backpack back in the car contains extra clothes for rainy hill climbs, a friends drone (for when I can borrow it) other bulkier items like suction cup mounts etc. I like the look of this bag! Also, great video. love the surprise in your face when you realise its got more capacity that first initially thought
