Dope Slimes Review / ASMR (Overrated??)

Hello Shlime Fam!!! So, I’d like to clarify how I made a mistake trying to get a refund for the missing slime in my order. I feel like I didn’t make it fully clear in this review🙂 If there’s an issue with your order you can go on Dope Slimes website where they have an automated system that allows you to select an option for what is wrong with your order, it then shows options that are available to make up for the mistake. The options were either to get a store credit refund for the slime or request the missing slime be sent to you. So I thought I could just get a full refund for the one slime that was missing which would’ve been about $10. Sadly I misread the option as it was really a request to have store credit. I personally didn’t want store credit, so emailed the shop right after to say that I made a mistake. It took days for the store credit request to go through, and it eventually did go through yet I never had my email responded to which was asking them not to do that. I apologize for not being as clear in my video, my brain is extra fried lately lol

It's so annoying that most slime shops put the candies so close to the borax. It's so dangerous. I like having the charms on the side too. It's safer. I totally agree.

@namjesus will steal jimins jams Yep, and germs/covid isn't the only concern about gloves. Gloves also prevent skin flakes, oils, sweat, etc from your hands from going into the slime batches. Washing your hands will not stop your hands from constantly producing those sweats/oils/flakes/etc.

Yes I’m starting to realize a lot of shops pack candy next to borax :( hopefully with some awareness being raised that can change as it wasn’t something I noticed till recently

I LOVE how when she does 100% honest she’s actually 100% honest. Other ppl do like 50 or 40% honest and while I know they are trying to be nice, I don’t know if the slime would actually be worth it because they kinda brush past the bad parts but she doesn’t!😊

Their slimes look great, but it's disgusting that they don't use gloves. Then you find debris in multiple slimes?!? No. Nope. Never would I give anyone so unhygienic my money for something my kid would be touching.

Yeah even pre-Covid I thought it was kinda non sanitary that people played without gloves.

@@gabeng7642 Same. It's so gross when people touch big slime batches without gloves, because your hands are constantly producing skin flakes and oils/sweats, and washing your hands won't stop that. Also slime is very sticky and might also pick up weird gunk from your hands that might be missed with hand washing, so gloves are a barrier to stop that too. I refuse to buy from any slime shop that doesn't use gloves.

But germs still get on gloves. Whether you use gloves or not, bacteria and germs gets on whatever is on your hands. Like, if you have gloves on your hands and you touch someone's hands or belongings then the gloves will carry the germs and bacteria from the person's hand or belongings you touched. Gloves don't do anything and if anything are much harder since you have to continuously swap them out in order to remain "germs and bacteria free". It's honestly much better to just not wear gloves and wash your hands or use hand sanitizer. Just because someone uses gloves with whatever they're touching don't think bacteria and germs aren't on those gloves.

The free slime is called marshmallow puff from her shop. I just watched a video where someone else reviewed dope slimes and had a slime exactly like that!

I had the opposite experience with the strawberry milk, for me it was so good, it stretched well inflated smelled like strawberry ring pop and color shifted when I let the bubbles clear up. I have a review on my channel but it’s not very good 😅

Every batch of slime is different. It also depends on the environment. Slime is pretty complex, it has to be just right for slime to be perfect. It also depends on the texture of slime. Some slime textures such as clear, floam, or glossy slimes are much likely to become sticky or not how it should be after being shipped. But some other slimes such as cloud, icee, or butter slime(I think)are not as likely to become sticky after shipping. Slime also depends on the weather too. In the summer time especially it is very easy for slime to melt or become sticky because slime doesn't do so well in the heat. If it's too cold slime might get stiff and once it warms up by you playing with it it will start to loosen up and become stretchy. Slime is complex and is not easy especially when you are new to it.

Same. They’re a bit cheaper (at least $1 from what ive seen) than some other shops, it seems that the 5oz slimes are ALWAYS super deflated as shown in reviews I’ve seen so I got more 8oz than 5. I usually buy from Obsidian but nothing stood out to me this last browsing lol. Hopefully they arrive good :)

Thank you for your review. I was going to order from them as they have a lot of ice fizz texture slimes, which are my favorites. But with the debris in the slime I may wait. Also I’m half and half on the, no gloves. Because it maybe a money issue, but there’s also natural oils on our hands and shedding skin. But also the debris in the slime is very disappointing and a bit gross.

I remember receiving an order from this shop 3 years ago and if I’m correct, I gotten the starfrost slime as a freebie. 😂 I think they need to step up their game. Other slime shops are offering DIY and unique slimes compared to these. I looked up there webpage and I did not want to waste my time.

Are slimes that are made without gloves dangerous? I ordered there slime a while back and I still use it to this day but I had no idea they didn’t use gloves to make there slimes and it concerns me a bit!

Whenever I ordered my slime, I had an issue with tracking my order, so I sent them an email. They only took around 8 hours to respond, and they also helped me very much. I think I got in contact with an actual person, and not a automated email sender.

This shop has been hit or miss for me. I've ordered 3 times. The first time was my first slime package and I loved it. However, I had to throw away one because it was so sticky. (I didn't know how to use activator) I have ordered 3 cloud slimes and they have all turned bad and have became ruined. However I love theiir thick and glossy textures.
