I find it impossible to find myself under the cascade of emotions born of this eternal music and not be hopelessly drenched and beatified by them. It is simply the best Norma fantasy i’ve ever heard, full of subtlety, deep understanding, artistry and originality. Thank you, Dora!

This is the best interpretation of the Norma Fantasy. It's nothing compared to the others. It's consistent and the amount of emotion put into it is just right. This pianist deserves more fame!!!

Beautiful interpretation! The Norma fantasy is one of those pieces which demonstrates that "operatic paraphrases" can be truly deep and powerful pieces of music. Genious material from Bellini, magical reimagining by Liszt. Really glad that you got to play it in Liszt's village of birth. Must have been a unique experience.

This piece evokes love in me. The last part ( 17:04 onwards ) is immensely inspiring and profoundly powerful. Its like saying nothing can stop us now. Liszt was speaking to the future and sending injections of hope into us. Wherever you are Liszt thank you from the bottom of my heart. And thank you Dora for bringing this alive!

Finally, someone who plays this piece with artistry. Not taking away or insulting some of the amazing performers/professionals on KZbin. Most of them who play this piece race through it. I get that they seek to impress with their abilities and technical mastery but is sometimes it takes away from the composition and never give a chance develop a relationship between the listener and performer. Dora, IMHO, brings a high skill level without beating the crap out of the piano and the composition allowing the listener to appreciate her interpretation while providing a more gratifying understanding of the contributions of the one of a kind Franz Liszt

Fantastic job! This piece is incredibly difficult and tiring to play, and I appreciate the rich sound of the Bosendorfer and the time taken throughout that really lends such a depth to the work and the opera behind it. I hope to add this piece to my repertoire one day, but until then, I will enjoy listening to you play ...

What I love about this performance is that It tells a story. It communicates, & it sings.. Its wonderfull musically played on an amazing instrument. A Big Bosendorfer with that amazing bass tunes.... Re Our Dutch living Wibi Soerjadi legend and a winner of the 2th International Franz Liszt concours at Vredenburg, Utrecht, was for many years a great promoter of his Bosendorfer. He took his instrument with him to concerts as Horowitz did with his own special tuned Steinway.

Love the way she played. So much passion, exactly as Liszt intented. I hate people who rush Liszt's music, they ruin it. I have one question though. In some places, it seems like she's struggling with the piece. Am I wrong?
@Ultrazone916 жыл бұрын
Do you play the piano? It seems that you don't. This piece is hell to play so yes, she's struggling. Secondly, you can understand that she's struggling by the fact that she plays at a considerably slower tempo in many sections of the piece. But in the end it's still a very nice performance.
@dirkhoekstra7275 жыл бұрын
I prefer to think that she is just deliberately playing it slower in certain section, because that is just her interpretation. I think it is an awesome interpretation. It is almost as if she is analysing each note, trying to absorb and savour the taste.
Bösendorfer has such a wonderful sound + amazing perfomance Where can I buy this in lossless format?
