Surah uz Zaariyaat 1 to Surah ul Hadeed 16
Highlights: Today we will discuss Surah Al Dhariyat, Al Tur, Al Najm, Al Qamar, and Al Rahman (the melodic and beautiful Surah of Al Rahman ‘the All-Merciful’), Al Waqiah & Al Hadid. In Surah Al Rahman Allah highlights many of Allah’s blessings in the world the foremost of which is the Majestic Qur’an; Allah describes the end of the world and paints a magnificent picture of Paradise. The Surah is characterised by the refrain, “Which, then of your Lord’s blessings will you both deny?” which runs throughout its course, an allusion and rebuke to both mankind and the jinn. The other Surahs cover themes integral to the Makki Surahs such as reminders of the Day of Judgement and the resurrection - reflect and take heed; a detailed illustration of the meraj night will also be covered. We will cover Surah Al Hadid (Iron) which urges the believers to two great actions: to spend in the Way of Allah (infaq) and to uphold justice (jihad).
