Just as I remembered it from watching with my grandparents. After 30+ years I still remember every word to the jingle!

Andy Clyde, whether Pa Kettle or in other roles, was an endearing, hilariously capable actor and Shirley Temple was just the cutest little girl ever…with more talent in her tiny noggin than a host of A-list stars of any era. As to personal strength and character, no one before or since conquered more challenges than she and survived, later to be an accomplished stateswoman for the USA. I need not contrast her life with “stars” of the last 50 years, except to wonder if the character and abilities of those “stars” aren’t a reflection of America’s current state with its vacuous obsession with self-promotion and victimization.

Wish I met my Grandmother, Dora (Ethel Sykes). Died when my mom was 11. Ethel did a lot of film but contacted Polio a few yrs later. Spent 2 years in an Iron Lung. Came out, did RKO Radio, had 3 Daughters w Doctor and war hero Albert Ehrlich. She performed the most listened to radio program in history with James Cagney.

I don't care what anyone says about her. Shirley was the sweetest girl of the 1930s towards almost the end of the silent era and she was always very nice.

I have this on VHS tape. I believe it may be the first example of in-video sponsorship promotion on social media.
