Doreen St. Félix has been a staff writer at the New Yorker since 2017 and was named the magazine’s television critic in 2019. Her writing has appeared in the Times Magazine, New York, Vogue, The Fader, and Pitchfork. St. Félix was named on the Forbes “30 Under 30” media list, and she is the winner of a National Magazine Award for Columns and Commentary.
Hilton Als (English Department, UC Berkeley) has been a staff writer at the New Yorker since 1994. His most recent book, White Girls, was a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award and winner of the Lambda Literary Award. He received the 2017 Pulitzer Prize for criticism.
