@@spymadmax584 Kuki has always been a good character. I run a Pale Flame Main DPS Kuki (and have since her launch) and she functions equally well as a Main Healer. Mind you, I have Constellations on her. Her C2 is almost a necessity since it allows for 100% uptime on her E-Skill. But she is the best Electro Applicator in the game, bar none. Her only drawback for that is the necessity to be in Melee Range, but that can be worked around fairly easily. As long as you pay attention to Kuki's HP (she drains her own HP to use her E-Skill), you should be solid when using her. The only character in the game, thus far, that I would put on par with Kuki, if not slightly better, when it comes to Electro Application is Yae Miko. But Yae Miko is a 5-Star... that requires Constellations to be viable. So yeah. Totally worth it in this Meta, mind you, but that's still a heavy investment. I don't have my Miko built and I don't have any of her Constellations. But you know what I do have? Kuki Shinobu as my Electro Driver on the two Dendro Team Comps I have that run Electro-Dendro Reactions. She's actually my Main Healer for my Tighnari Comp. It's oddly satisfying when your Main and Only Healer also doubles as your Secondary Main DPS. :D No seriously, I run Double Dendro in that comp (the second being Dendro Traveler). When Tighnari goes down (and he does go down every once in a while because he's slightly under levelled and he's a Glass Cannon by design so it happens), my Spread Comp shifts into an Aggravate Comp with Kuki being the driver. It's like, "Congratulations. You just pissed off my Healer." Dori's inconsistent healing kills her viability as a Main Healer, imo. Now I don't have Dori so I haven't tried her solo, but I have experienced a Dori in a co-op team and, yeah, her only Heal being tied to her Burst SUCKS. I have a sneaking suspicion that Dori requires her C6 to be a viable co-op Main Healer.

They shouldve made her bursts' active character energy recharge scale with her own ER%, and that each time you hit an enemy with her E while burst is active, her burst's duration is increased by 1 seconds, up to 6 seconds

@@TheonenameJuan the word is "versatile", but yeah Hoyo is long already moving away from that and only creates niche or dedicated support characters. Not a bad thing per se, though it takes away the "fun" for these characters that in certain cases locked beneath constellations. But as for Dori on her baseline, I think she's pretty decent. Good healer and ER support, but burst design is limiting and has long CD. Might work on some comps though.

Before Inazuma I wanted a copy of most 4 stars, even at C0. After Thoma and Sara, I try avoid new ones as they usually have so many caveats or have hard to get constellations. Heizou was an easy exception. Reason being is that I want to build all my characters and I don't need dead weight eating up resources 😂.

It's not really an issue cause eventually your gonna unlock those constellation. If you don't want to build them that's another issue, but the dead weight thing wouldn't be true the whole time

@@nickrivas6429 Yes and no. My Sara has been C1 since the first Raiden Banner. That's over a year ago now. My Fischl, who I've had and used since the start of the game nearly 2 years ago now, only recently got C6, and that's only thanks to the Summer event, and the free Fischl from the first event (so she'd still be C4 otherwise). I also purchase WM + BP monthly. Dori, from what I'm hearing, is pretty much an incomplete unit at C0. Can you use her? Absolutely, but you probably have better options, unless you literally just started... But then you won't be able to build her anyways due to content locking, so she becomes benched quickly anyways. Lastly, she's a new 4 star, and the newer the worse your chances get at ever pulling them outside featured (ie low rate), featured banners she's on will be fewer, no option to buy in shop, etc. So, having a C0 incomplete kit, or maybe more accurately, a heavily watered down kit makes her dead weight for my account, and maybe even newer accounts, for potentially years. I think it' a system that MHY needs to address sooner than later. That or stop dropping watered down kits, and instead drop strong kits that get get better at C6 but don't power creep (I feel Yun Jin was a good example of this, but I might be 💯% wrong).

@@Volair Yeah same here, I used to trust Hoyo and believe they were good at making 4 stars useful, but as the Abyss has gotten harder the 4 stars have become more niche and con-locked. I was so hype for Sara I pulled her on the Raiden banner and built her straight away, but there was no team I could make where there wasn't a better replacement (I don't have Raiden, and even if I did Raiden's best teams don't seem to use Sara). Even worse, I was stuck with C1 Sara until only a month ago when I randomly got C2, but I still can't find a good use for her. Tried her with Tighnari but Fischl and Lisa with Prototype Amber and Zhongli was a far better team, Sara feels like she will always be a waste of resources for my account. Now I'm worried because I'm really excited for Candace, but the community consensus at the moment is she doesn't have any good teams where she will be best in slot, which just seems absurd to me. How has Hoyo become so incompetent at designing 4 stars? Why don't they go back and rework/buff old characters that are balanced poorly? When you look at games like League of Legends or Overwatch with huge rosters where the devs put in so much work to balance them, I don't see any excuse for Hoyo's poor balancing outside of "releasing new characters makes money, fixing Xinyan doesn't".

@@cheesypoohalo Gatcha games can't nerf characters for legal reasons. It leads to false advertising. And no character will ever be like the launch 4 stars ever again, so stop going in with the expectations that they're going to be "complete". They're all going to be niche and fill out other things instead of being generalists, which were needed upon game release. But it takes more than a week for people to really get creative enough to find a new unit's true potential.

Dori is probably another character which situation will improve over time. It's not the first time that mihoyo releases character with "gameplay issues" and then after few patches said character turns out to be more useful than community intially thought.

My biggest issue with 3.0 is how inconsistent the internal cooldowns have become. I get that they need a way to keep things in check, but if I see an attack, then that should be an application. I feel like the characters have become very misleading. They appear to bring a lot of value until you get them. Then you find out that they only do half as much as you thought.

Since inazuma Mostly have 10s-15s cooldown and 70-90 energy cost (Kazuha is the only exception)

It's a pattern since post version 1.x with Xinqiu, Bennet, and the likes. There version 1.x 4 stars broke the game in their use and utility without ever fully needing constellations to be useful. Hoyo is afraid of power creep and I think they are going at it in the worst way with it. The inazuma 4-stars being mediocre and 3.0 4-stars aren't much better, it seems they want us to heavily invest in them to actually unlock their potentials.

I run her in a freeze/superconduct with Yelan for hydro/ult, Rosaria main physical (No Eula pulled, but I'm happy) Dori for the superconduct and heals, and Sucrose for more reactions. I'm never without ults ready thanks to Dori. Having her with Sacrificial to use her E twice, she regains her ult almost completely from that alone o3o I look back at your first vid talking about her in superconduct teams, and I have to say it really rocks~

@@zayn3536 idk about that one some say that because eula needs heals cuz of how long she has to stay on for max dmg output diona is only useful to keep her alive and avoid inturuption sure she can give energy but not as quickly as rosaria unless you get lucky with your sac bow resets while rosaria has a low cooldown while prividing a very nice amount of particles for eula *and* providing crit rate which is a huge bonus

She works fine for me currently. I need an Electro Healer since I missed Kuki. Better with Cons? Definitely. She'll gradually get better for some. Me? It's her Singing and Personality got me. Plus she uses her Lamp as a Grenade Launcher and she uses her Jinni for her Attacks. That is the most hilarious attack Animation I have ever seen.

You didn't miss out she's one of the worst healers. She needs the entire E for herself to even help anyone. Takes 2/3 of her life to use it. Whoever is making these characters lose hp to use their abilities is a dirtbag!! I won't use xiao for the same reason! Can only burst if another burst is ready to land in! That's the dumbest shit I've ever seen! 😒

I really hope Hoyo get's out of this mindset of creating problems in characters only for the constellations to fix these problems. It would be so much nicer to have a fully complete character that has constellations that add to their playstyle.

That's called a 5-star character. 4-stars are usually janky to use at C0. Because if you give them too much versatility at the get go, you'll get yourself another "Bennett scenario" which is Hoyo is obviously steering away from.

@@kimkardashi-un2.051 That's why I said that they want to steer away from those. Hoyo's design for new 4-star characters post-Inazuma are pretty evident of that. And I said Bennett because he's being the most obvious case so it's worth mentioning the elephant in the room. Pre-version 2.0, the characters are still well-rounded that it still plays well while the usual QOL changes are locked beneath the constellations. Some are still janky by itself, but still manageable while not feeling underpowered nor lackluster. Although with the advent of Inazuma, the 4-stars especially in the support role are getting either way too niche or being dedicated to a certain character/element. To a point that their usage in general are hindered significantly with locked QOL mechanics under constellations. Don't get me wrong, they're still serviceable albeit without the character/comp they're best to be played with, they're obviously underwhelming.

Kujou Sara is blatantly unusable at c0 because when you press her E skill, you need to SHOOT AN ARROW to get the attack bonus BUT WAIT there's a constellation that fixes that issue where you just have to press E and you get the bonus. That was completely unnecessary. They could've easily just built that into her kit but they had to lock it behind cons. I just think it's scummy to release an unplayable character and then making players have to wish and spend more to get cons to PLAY THE CHARACTER YOU ALREADY GOT. Even worse is that if you want a 4 star, you aren't guaranteed to get them because there is no way to choose who your gonna get when you reach the 4 star pity.

@@bug688 That's why I said being 'niche' as in this case, Sara has a peculiar mechanic by giving you additional step to get into that buff that you'll ask yourself why would Hoyo put such. Also, characters that has snapshot mechanic benefits from it, so not totally unusable as you mentioned. And to point out that it's an Elemental Skill with decent cooldown so no special conditions like energy cost are needed to be met, so it's a buff on demand, albeit the clunky mechanic. Either that design is made as a drawback or Hoyo arbitrarily put it there so she can't be _be too good_ for quick swap. Although I get your point, but it's a sad state of the upcoming characters since I personally doubt that we'll get a well-balanced character designed at C0 for 4-star, especially the ones designed to be a support. Heizou on another case, by not being a support character by design, gets a better treatment by being an already good character at C0. So I guess we can still hope for new 4-stars to get that same exemption, though at least for me, I won't really get my hopes up.

@@MaasikaRebane it's great! I run Yae Kazu Collei Dori team and i already tested it out in abyss when my Dori was lvl 60 and it was amazing! I managed to clear 12 with so much ease just because i have electro healer! I don't suffer this much from cooldowns in this team and also Dori fixed my ER'less Kazu so yeah. She get's the job done basically

I think Dori's made for Cyno in mind, since her low Electro application allows Cyno to be the one triggering Aggravate/Hyperblooms, while her battery gives just enough for Cyno who generates energy during burst too. The constant healing ensures Cyno's onfield rampaging further.

@@MegaMaster215 burgeon and hyperbloom teams, Thoma combined with ayato, dendro mc, kazuha (the one I use) makes a pretty great burgeon team, all Thoma needs is EM so you won't need to worry about crit. If you replace Thoma with Kuki it makes a hyperbloom team plus kuki ascends with extra EM so it works pretty well. For artifacts 4pc gilded dreams works great for both of them. If you don't have ayato or kazuha I think Xingqiu and Sucrose would be good substitutes

Tbh, Nilou will always be good since she is already good since she is already has an element that is needed in all kinds of reactions. Yeah sure we don't know yet how she stacks up with other hydro units but being compared to the top tier is already amazing on its own.

@@Azaleaaah makes sense if she's not a very fast hydro enabler. I also heard that she applies hydro via infusion just like chongyun? (Which means she has ICD) Mid hydro application to slow hydro application favors blooms while fast hydro like Xingqiu favors vaporize comps.

I think Hoyo is just releasing a bunch of mediocre 4-stars for people who are new to the game. It gives them growth potential, because these characters are better than a couple of the ones you get for free at the start of the game. However, they don't stack up to the OG 4-stars or 5-stars. They fill a gap until you get someone better. It just sucks for those of us who have been playing for a year or two, because many of these new characters aren't much better than giving us a barbara/Kaeya/Amber type of 4-star.

Dori has thundering 4pc set as her passive (making reactions with her skill decreases the cooldown) Which can get more particles for burst and use it more often

Arguably Bennett needs C1 and Xingqiu needs Sacrificial Sword to perform well (and Xingqiu gets better the more constellations you have), so it's not new that some characters need constellations. I still remember when I started playing people told me to build Xingqiu and I didn't have sacrificial sword (or good ER artifacts) so it was a pain.

Honestly making players bring creative and finding ways to make units that at first don't look so good is amazing. Why make straight up easy op units when you already have a bunch anyways. I loved this about Mihoyo bank from their first mobile game GGZ and I'm so happy they are bringing this back. Unlimited combos 👌🏻

I am personally really loving her as an alternate option for Raiden on my Eula team, as well as Diona, so I can use both on different teams if needed! Allows me to slot in both Shenhe and Rosaria (and I can play both offensively so the team overall has great cryo damage coming out! Kinda functions as a Mono Cryo/Superconduct hybrid!) My Eula has very low ER, and C4 Dori is helping almost as much as Diona was for energy generation and healing! Electro application isn't as much an issue since the superconduct debuff lasts for 12s, so it doesn't need to be constant. (This also helps with cryo resonance uptime too for increased CR!) Overall though, I do share the sentiment that her constellations unlock a lot of potential for her that should have been available on her kit by default, and C0 is... Pretty lackluster on her compared to many other units. I wouldn't say she's very F2P friendly.

I find her constellations although an issue in gameplay, can be perceived as a characterization method! Dori love money and she's adorably greedy, so after taking all of your money (primos) out showing your Dori dedication to her business (getting constellations over time) for C6, she rewards you accordingly. Of course, she wants all of your money right now so whaling for her c6 is what she's all about and rewards you with 12+ reactions in a rotation ^^

the burst's electro string that attaches to you and heals you, should stay connected no matter how far you go, or at least for a far larger distance.

I like to use her in a team with Xiao, for healing and battery. It actually works really well. My rotation goes Dori burst+skill>Zhongli shield>Bennett burst>Xiao skills+burst. By the time Xiao's burst runs out, usually everyone's bursts are back up and I can do the rotation again. The rotation is a lot smoother and easier than if I used someone like Sucrose as a battery, but I guess that means I also lose the ttds buff.

dori is kind of my sollution for a double dendro double electro team. i gave her the new craftable weapon and play tighnari on EM while collei has the dendro set and removes part of the dendro resistance from enemies. i'll usually go tighnari E, collei E, if she has burst i will do burst, if dori has burst i will do burst and then dori E. dori's E, as long as it causes an reaction, which shouldnt be difficult with enemies applied with dendro, her weapon drops a leaf and i switch back to tighnari to pick it up. i shoot one charged arrow, which has basically no cooldown since i poped his E, and then i activate his burst. this way i recieve 120 EM from the leaf, 60 EM from c4 collei burst, 30 EM for triggering quicken, 20 EM for triggering spread and aggravate, 100 EM for triggering any reaction (artifact set, 2 elements that are not the same as the one who wears the artifact set +50 +50), 50 EM from firing the arrow. those are EM bonuses that are time limited, 4-12 seconds. 380 EM temporarily with the weapon stringless i have 165 EM, 80 EM from 2pc artifact, 50 EM from dendro resonance, and 187 EM from an artifact EM main stat. those are permanent. 482 EM. with this i already reach 862 EM in full combo. thinking of giving collei the elegy for the end r2 for more EM. all i have to do is find artifacts with EM substats and roll into them, like in the feather and the flower. so all i need Dori for really is just healing and ER recovery. i do want to have raiden, so that my bloom reactions would work. then it wouldn't matter if i have dori in or kokomi. i simply found out that kokomi works good with ei and works with my playstyle, so as long as i dont have ei, i dont use kokomi and i use dori with yae for good electro dmg.

Yea is.... a very interesting character, by herself she doesn't do much, but, in a full team she's super strong. My 93/185 Yae is just kinda 'mid' by herself, but carries in any team.

When a character is bad, everybody complains about it. Later on, new characters could change it. This is exactly what happened with Shinobu. Almost everyone hated her kit, and now those same people say her kit is good with dendro reactions.

She is surprisingly flexible at C6, Portable Power Saw, Clam Set. Sturdy HP punching bag. Be it large single target heals or serviceable full-team heals, triggering Wriothesley's Marechausee Hunter or doing AoE damage with bubbles off-field.

I bet every Bennett DPS mains saw this coming just from reading leaked data about Dori's kit and quicken reaction. Both are healers with talents and artifacts for skill cooldown reduction, which make them pretty viable for skill spamming healer-DPS role. In Dori's case, MHY even had to put a hard cap on her burst ICD and C2's attenuation tag just to not create another healer-DPS like Bennett with potentially 6-star power rating. Particle generation rate, which scales with ER of each teammate unlike flat energy regen, is doubled if the skill cooldown is halved so such shit is OP as feck in terms of well-roundedness. Like 10 pyro particles dropped by casting Bennett's skill for 5 times in approximately 10 sec can generate (10 * 1.8 * 2) = 36 Energy for an ER 200% Xiangling in 4-character team while an ER 300% Raiden Shogun herself can only generates 27.5 Energy for the pyro archon.

Kuki maybe outshines her when it comes to healing, but she compensates when it comes to being a battery. And she's easy to build, just equip her with 4pc exile/sac greatsword (ER prio) set and she's good to go, she can be run as solo electro. (Sands should be an off-piece ER set).

I have her at C0 (got a Ganyu constellation I didn't want in the process -.-) and I like her. I slapped 2 piece millileth and emblem on her, gave her a sac greatsword, and she does what I want her to do just fine. I don't care about abyss though so it pretty much never matters who I use :P

dori is fine. the real problem with her ive seen is a bunch of yall decided she was "supposed" to be for certain roles and are mad she can't do those well enough. dori is meant to be a healer, a battery, and set off a couple reactions as a bonus while she does. she was never meant to be the sole reactor or electro dps and its weird that thats the merit she's being judged on.

Honestly, at this point I played Genshin for quite a long time. I have a range of units to play that can handle more difficult content. So I became more interested in units that are fun to play. I can't spare the resources to build her fully because I am prepping for other units but I got her to 60 and take her out on daily commissions. She is kinda fun to play around with. That's enough to make me happy apparently. I'll finish building her at a later date most likely.

Tried it in both this and previous video - she does not trigger Hyperblooms effectively, so its better to have other Electro/Anemo units like Kuki/Raiden/Kazuha/Sucrose to trigger Hyperblooms with EM build.

She is a pure support by design. C6 gives her viability to play a more on-field role. The problem is that her support capability lies in her burst, and her burst isn't the most forgiving (80 energy cost) so you need to emphasize to her having more ER to split up with her HP which is the one that scales with her heal. That, or have her a decent amount of ER and pair her with another Electro character with good particle generation since she herself got a pretty long time to fill up her burst during cooldown. Having a Sacrificial Greatsword is fine too, but I know most people here are itching to have their R5 The Bell get used for the first time.

I used my guarantee by accident on kokomi. I was only 25 in. I know she's a great char but now I have to make a team with her and dendro. I built my Tighnari pretty well. Crit on charge is 15000. Have you tried Dori in coop? Because I've seen people call her Coop Queen because her burst connects to all active players, healing and restoring energy and all connectors can proc reactions. I think she's meant to be electro support for melee dendro DPS, supposedly Al-Haitham.

Personally, I enjoy her a lot. My account is fairly new and my team is: C0 Fishl with stringless C2 Sucrose with sac C0 Xingqiu with 3* ER weapon C0 Dori with sac It's amazing! Just use Xingqiu's E + Fihsl's E to superconduct. Sucrose E 3x for swirl and then dori for heal and ER because I didn't build Fihsl and Sucrose with ER.

this whole dori situation is a post waiting to not age well. People simply haven't figured her out properly yet. You'll see that none of the "issues" she has are actually issues in her kit and in her general purpose, and they are seen as issues because people see her in the optics and with the mindset of existing characters rather than she as her own character with her own kit. And being an electro healer with good energy recharge benefits already places her in a super sweet spot. As far as the spiral abyss is concerned (which is NOT a good reference anyways, but the community doesn't understand that). as soon as those Hydro Heralds will be back into the roster she will shine.

My problem is the omni-split scaling and constellations don't help there. Want to heal? HP%, Healing Bonus Quicken reaction damage? Crit rate, Crit damage, Electro DMG% + Elemental Mastery Overload, hyperbloom or EC damage? More EM without DMG% or Crit. Want to be able to actually use the burst? Lots of ER. So you either have 3 different builds at triple the investment cost, or she is only able to utilize a third of her roles. While units that can do all of their roles with a single build exist, these units are hard to justify raising. I wanted Dori to be good but gave up before even trying, she'll stay lv 20 forever.

If they just made Kuki heal herself during her burst we wouldn't even have to talk about Dori. Non burst reliant healing, better Hyperbloom potential. Tenacity user, Deepwood. My only issue with Kuki is the high chance of her dying while activating the skill or burst if you get hit while casting because her HP is already low. But still can be fixed by getting good. Or by having C6 which isn't that much of a need for her.

That Dori needs the C2 is something that was seen coming from miles away. For my part she doesn't seem like a bad character to me, she is a healer for Quicken teams while Shinobu is a healer for Hyperbloom and electrocharged teams. Maybe in the future we will have a 5* electro healer that works in all niches but until then let's appreciate the fact that Dori and Shinobu are equally viable each in a different situation allowing us more variety of teams.

Considering she’s a 4*, and she’s not the first 4* to ever be “Constellation Locked”, i think she’s fun with all her problems, she’s a niche character that does a decent in her niche, constellation locked to C2, but when you get her to C6, she gains a whole new playstyle (which is either rare or unseen in most 4* unit in the first place)

For those that are concerned I found that if you use her burst at point blank range she tends to throw the lamp through the enemy so it ends up behind it. That way the lamp is already on the opposite side of the enemy from where you're standing, allowing the connector to hit. I've done a few abyss runs with her so far and haven't had too many connector issues. You may lose some uptime and have to reposition but especially with the larger enemies in abyss it's not too hard to get the connector to hit something for most of it's duration.

Now i farmed a bit for her to be lvl 70, 6.6.6 in talents, having nice artifacts (good i have some spare millelith) and a sacrificial greatsword... and now i discover she's not so cool as i thought, i dropped Kuki Shinobu (but i have'nt any weapons nor artifacts nor ascension material to level up her too)... 😞 and i was soooo thrilled to finally have found a cool electro healer/support for my aggravate Keqing team compo... 😞

Yeah gating key features by constellations always sucks. When you're F2P, just can't pull for multiple constellations of a 4* without making huge sacrifices, and the 4* roster is big enough by now that it takes forever to just pick them up naturally over time. My Sara is still C1 and is unplayable for me until C6, unless I wanted to play her for playstyle rather than effectiveness (and I don't, her design is only okay, in my opinion). I love Dori as a character so I'll probably end up messing around with her (mine is C1) but of course it's just for fun, there's no team I can make where I don't have a more effective option

Dori isn’t bad she’s just underwhelming. The scaling is okay, and she’s easy to build. Honestly with her, being the only character that can give ER to other characters aside from electro traveler, Raiden and to a very low degree Sara, she really is decent. I think it’s natural for her to have drawbacks or not be completely good because of what she can do which is heal, give ER and also apply electro off field. So overall she’s good beginner character and good substitute character.

I'm ngl it was so obvious to me that Dori was meant to be a thundering fury damage dealer meant for quickswap teams. I believe her high hp burst scaling was specifically so that you don't have to build much hp to get good heals. This allows you to basically have her constantly swap in and deal pretty good damage with her skill even at C0 and if you utilize her second passive (which lowers the cooldown of her skill with reactions during her burst) you get even more rotations of her skill with thundering fury. She basically supposed to be a budget fischl. constantly swapping in for damage, but also a buffer support. C2 I think is where it would be best to have her for this playstyle but C0 works fine imo.
