Thank you for the long, facinating view of the surf near my old stomping ground, next to K&P. This is very familiar territory for me. Thankfully, it seems that Dorian spared our beloved Golden Isles for the most part.

The "1935 unnamed hurricane" was equal to Dorian in the Bahamas (200 mph gusts) 700 Great Depression Veterans building roads died in the Keys and their bodies were burned in place. Hemingway blamed the government for not getting the train in time and the Veterans had never experienced such "storms". Dorian at 5 plus is the only storm to equal 1935.

Usually it's like a lake with a huge beach at "East Beach". I wonder how the Cloister and Sea Island are doing on the South side of Sea Island. Roughest I've seen it and I'm 62 yrs. old.
