I'd recommend Color out of Space over Dunwich Horror. At the Mountains of Madness was good for lore reasons, but it was insanely dry.

Outstanding miniature design. I ordered Ccthulhu wars in july but still yet to arrive, kept getting delayed by the factory according to the provider (might be related to the kickstarter trouble) so will not see until january or late. Enjoyed the game on TTS several times though, adore the premise and asymmetry.

@@GreyWizardInsights Aye think it will be awhile yet though. China keeps having lockdowns and they seem to be a major manufacturer. Perhaps next summer there will be more opportunities.

Really cool minis! Maybe i'll take them once they are available Edit : also im wondering if you would do some strategy guide on some of the New assets including this expansion? The previous were very interesting especially for the neutral GOO's and this dire Yog'Sothoth, my god the potential of this 'guy' with several faction Can be huge!

@@GreyWizardInsights just Saw your message, maybe you can do a format of 10-15 min max with each unit on how they could synergise with each faction. But dont rush it if you want to do it, as it needs testing and theorycraft before you Can developp some strategies.

Richard give urself some credit. You would be able to use Junior to summon multiple GOO's. It's just that ur luck would include getting all of them killed too.

Two things would happen. First, I'd put myself into a losing position strategically because I'd be so determined to see the glory of Jr to summon multiple IGOOs, then after reaching that pinnacle of epicness, they'd all die in the first battle, or even worse, be eaten by Dire Yog Sothoth. ;) It'd be worth it though

But why is it purple? Why not grey like all the other neutrals? Have I missed something or did they just have extra purple plaatic to use up in the factory?

Don't know, but I think it has to do with costs. You can swap out Yog-Sothoth for the dire variants, same as you can do with Cthulhu, but that requires them to have the correct faction color. As a result, the other sculpts have the same color or the printer would have to switch out the color for each mini.

That's how I feel when I go to fast food restaurants with my gf's and it costs nearly 30 bucks, I'm trying to just accept that things cost more now. But no judgement, everyone has to decide how they spend their entertainment money!

I am NOT gonna buy any more Cthulhu Wars. I am a Kickstarter for Cthulhu Wars: Final Onslaught and have received NOTHING. Do not buy into Kickstarter unless you want to wait 3+ years and have nothing to show for it.

That's the kickstarter that will include the Dunwich Horror Expansion, so we're all going to be receiving them shortly. Maybe you aren't aware, but China is about to shut down again due to a covid variant again going out of control, but luckily, it seems like Final Onslaught should finish mailing out before that happens. I agree with you, that no one should buy kickstarters if they are risk adverse, personally I'm fine waiting, because I've bought over $20,000 in kickstarters, and where as Petersen Games has delivered 100% over the years (even if slow), many other kickstarters have failed and I've never received anything at all. I bought $2500 in kickstarter just prior to covid, I just received a KS box a month ago, another box last week. I don't know how much you bought, but I'm just happy that every KS I backed, seems primed to finally be delivering (or has already delivered). I hope you feel better when you finally receive your cthulhu wars shipment, everyone agrees the situation sucks, and no one wants to wait so long, but when we get past this, I think everyone will be happy with the quality they've received based on this expansion.

@RichardMathis That is the spiel a retailer would give when they are apologists for their fave brand. I would suggest your enthusiasm (and profit goals) bias your public messaging. COVID19 or not, Sandy shipped earlier runs to retailers (NOT Kickstarters!). That is BS, especially when one remembers Sandy cried for having to use his own $$$. (That's called Investing, it's part of business.) Secondly, he is always trying generate $$$ with other Kickstarters, in CHINA, knowing his other projects, specifically CW:FO, were already way off schedule. COVID19 didn't force him to give retailers dibs, and starting new projects in a place he knows is gonna have tank. I am sorry, but Sandy screwed us this time. It's been 3+ years now.

@@gusgee1337 My enthusiasm probably biases my public messaging, but I don't get paid to promote any games. If I did, I'd announce it, and I don't know if I'd be comfortable with it. In reality, I've refused money to fly to Texas, and the mini-tournament I'm helping host next month I'm paying all out of my own pocket and even paying for most if not all of the prizes I end up giving out. Having said that. Petersen Games rolled big, just like the other couple thousand in kickstarters I backed around the same time. I received a couple 6 months ago, and another one 2 months ago, I still have a few to go, and then all of petersen games stuff. I suppose there are other people complaining about those gaming companies too, and you're all not wrong bout all of the gaming companies. I just went into this "expecting" a risk, that's why it's kickstarter, and some of you maybe didn't. I'm sorry your patience has ran out, I'm still holding out and excited. I also backed 2k worth of star citizen and still enthusiastic about it too, if it tells you what kind of fan I am. ;)
