ced1530, he was trying to ask about the dynamics of Scully and Mulder being stronger than the other at different times. His question was malformed because he used the term "damsel in distress" which caused Gillian to make a face and the audience to kind of boo him. She ended up stopping him and saying that Scully was not a damsel in distress, and then went on to answer the question he was trying to ask.

I kind of agree that in earlier seasons Scully was a damsel in distress sometimes. Rewatching it now it’s kind of odd to see certain things because it’s very 90s and the gender roles are way more traditional than they are today.

Er verheddert sich, er will darauf hinaus, dass er Scully in den neuen Folgen stärker und unabhängiger findet und spricht von Scully in der 90er Version der XFiles als „damsel in distress“ - das meint die „verfolgte Unschuld“ oder „Jungfrau in Nöten“, ein typisches Bild (Topos)in der Kunst, in Bildern, Geschichten usw, eine vereinfacht gesagt naive und unschuldige Frauenfigur, die in Gefahr gerät und Klassischerweise von einem männlichen Helden gerettet wird - Gillian ist mit dieser Beschreibung nicht einverstanden, sie sagt Scully ist überhaupt nicht so, er müsse das zurücknehmen…

I've always wanted to know how the beginning scene in All Things came about. Did she say "yeah, I'm telling the audience that Mulder and Scully are screwing" or did the writers tell her earlier in the season it was headed that way. She in Mulder were way flirting in Season 7 than in previous ones. Was that supposed to be there first time, bc the shadow man in Season 9 basically said "you invites Mulder into YOUR bed". I guess I want to know when she thinks Mulder and Scully addressed their feelings to one another and when did they act on it. In Milagro, Padgett blurted it out. No way they continued to ignore it after someone else said it outloud.
