I want to get to a point where all my toons have a diamond on them eventually. But for now, my rule is Diamond 1 all raid toons, arena, war and cc toons. Sometimes I'll D2 someone i always use but this D2 has to be an end game toon that will always go to max gear or and lvls. D3 is nice but i don't save up for it. it's just RNG from pulls. I have D3 Beta Ray Bill, Hela and 2099 from the top of my head that I've pulled. Sadly, toons i won't even G19 not at least until it easier to get. Oh, Ghost D3 was free so i didn't say here lol

Completely agree with the list. For my part, I buy the diamonds only if I'm going to put 2 or 3 on that character. The rest eventually comes out in the orbs. I also notice that at my level, within 1 to 5% in crucible and 1750 trophies in war the difference is made by 1 or 2 very large characters per team.

When diamond orbs first came out, I got lucky for a bit pulling good or decent characters, but the last 2 months or so, it's been garbage or dupes.

If I had enough elite credits to actually buy Beta Ray Bill to 7yellow, I would have bought a diamond on him a few weeks ago. (same goes for Robbie Reyes, Iron Man IW, and Quicksilver)

Not being able to get them from Cosmic Crucible sucks, but even being smarter doesn't help punching up 8-15M every time. I am down to only needing 4 more 7-red stars on my roster (with no minions in the orb and only a few of those anyways, I have been buying ravagers since they are an actual blitz team i have). Maybe I should just start buying the 5 diamonds now I guess. I'd love to upgrade my entire CC offense to 1 diamond at the very least, but just can't, and everyone I face does, lol

You always want sabertooth bigger then red if you're still using them to counter hero's for hire in war.

WRT the incursion campaign. I'm an endgame player so I've been farming the vahl/deathpool node for the additional ultimus shards, would I be better off farming a non-character node? Not sure how the percentage of drops work for DPC which is the only other thing I need from the incursion campaign.

Hela is what holds the Undying team together and now they are getting the EPIC tag, how can you say she's not a EASY 3D character?

Because the Greg's scale off her, and you want them to die on any hit. I intentionally didn't level my Hela past lv.90 or Gt17 and the Greg's still have 500k health. If you max her out those Greg's are going to have well over 1m health. Same with ZiM, I have him at lv.75 gt14, he's just there to dish out bleeds and you also want him to die to give charges to... Zuggs, who is the one who holds the team together ;)

there need to be more plug and play characters. make more team 4 core members. So we can slot cool war teams.

I'm curious why you didn't raise Patriot and Leader, but Namor was okay to raise 3 diamonds.

Namor hits the hardest especially with that ult that can't even be dodged. A D3 Namor is hard to overcome once he gets that off.

Building wide is terrible advice unless you spend a lot, to be honest. The cost to build characters is getting prohibitively high such that you even need to find some teams to skip if you're F2P just to keep up on the ones you do build, and your wide built teams can't do anything, especially as they've removed the 20% offense buff in war such that non-maxed out teams can no longer counter what they used to be able to counter, and made raids such that the teams need to be maxed out or close to it to actually work in them, unlike the old days when our newest teams could crush the raids at 3/3 and G14/75. But I do get it, it's the nature of your 2 accts being a kraken acct and a new player acct where you haven't hit the prohibitively expensive leveling gold costs.

I like to call what Dorky is talking about building for girth. He's skipping a bunch of teams on his ftp baby account. What I took his comment to mean was instead of having 1 3 diamond character on a team he's using, he would rather multiple characters on the team to have 2 or 1 stars. That's my understanding and how I approach diamonds anyway.
