I have pretty much the same closet as you in my dorm room but they also gave us another bureau with 3 more drawers to put our clothes in. I can't believe you have to fit all your folded clothes in just those 2 bottom drawers!

LOL. My friends and I went to a thing at a univeristy and my bed was freakishly high in our dorm, too. They're adjustable , and if I knew how I'd tell you, but we had a few different guys come figure it out.

depends on the school, most schools make you come to the front desk, some allow the delivery guy to go straight to the room

My suite for next year is all singles and we have a huge shared hallway closet for cleaning supplies and whatever and then like a hallway. But 6+ girls share one toilet and one shower. Luckily they're in separate rooms so both can be used at once.
