New high ceiling conversion with a dormer roof addition. The vaulted ceiling space in this San Diego home was high, but not high enough to meet the requirements for a new bedroom. By raising he roof over this empty ceiling space we are able to give it the head room needed to qualify for a new bedroom addition.
We're showing two different options for the second floor addition.
1. A gable dormer (partial roof raised)
2. Full two story addition over the living room with a hip roof
We're also showing removing the supporting wall between the dining room and the living room to create an open concept living space.
