Shroud is right about this game catering a little to everyone. If I want to be a sneaky snake and avoid conflict like the plague, I can still play. If I want to frag out like Shroudy, I can (well I can't... but you get it). There is both an FPS and loot-generator aspect to it that BRs couldn't quite establish.

A separate PvE/Offline mode that doesn't effect the PvP economy would be interesting though. I'm a scrub at PvP, but I like the genre and also PvE/Solo content for these games just as much. I would like it if it did this, but it looks like a separate PvE and offline is not one of its goals and I'll just have to settle for playing STALKER and Fallout.

​@@joshuaxiong8377 Same here, I'm more fond of Souls-like system where the main focus is on PvE but it can turn into PvP at any moment when someone invades. EFT is basically the opposite, PvP game with some PvE elements. I haven't actually bought the game yet, but I think I have pretty good idea of what I like in games and what not. That said, I'm afraid STALKER and Fallout don't cut it for me. While I love the environments in STALKER, the character models look pretty outdated and not that interesting to begin with. I know STALKER has the HD models mod but apparently it's unfinished and will often crash the game due to memory limitations. In shooters I usually prefer realistic stuff like in Escape From Tarkov, many other games such as CODs and Battlefields do also have really nice character models, but too bad otherwise they are pretty bland experiences. The exception to the rule is when the art design is so good and well-thought out it feels as immersive as real world, just with a different set of rules. One of the reasons why I'm really looking forward to Cyberpunk 2077.

I was laying on the ground trying checking out the area north of Dorms if it was safe to pass when i got a burst of tracer automatic weapons fire hitting the ground one meter to the right of me. I hadn't been spotted, there was a firefight going on in the hallway on the second floor and i was almost killed by stray bullets. Dorms are great.

Jagsrs28 use cover, stay out of mainstream areas for LOS and use a web browser as a reference for maps and exfils. I got the game about 2weeks ago and am doing fine because of that

You may be running and gunning too much. Don't engage a fight unless you think you can win it. Stay in brushes and edges of the map. Do your quests, play as much scav possible. You'll get better at it.

You gotta move decisively which means knowing the map. You don’t learn the map in game, you learn it by pulling up a (literal) community map w/ all important spawns/places and walking around in offline mode. Then when you play, you can move swiftly and focus on learning the places players will be lurking. If your goal is loot gainz, PvP doesn’t matter, only your rig and backpack do. I regularly go in with nothing but a dirt cheap bolt action and a backpack and make out with plenty - the trick for profit is to avoid other players altogether, which takes knowledge that only comes with time. It’s either that or killing to steal, but that takes more investment and risk.

Tarkov tip: the beginning of tarkov is always hard level up ur traders and hideout like bitcoin and booze farm to get a steady flow of passive income to get rid of gear fear and learn from your deaths tarkov requires quick decision making and patience dont just stomp around make sure you are clear in the building before doing any looting and get used to flanking will save your life more than you know

To overlaods comment, it can definitely be really buggy sometimes, but for the most part it works alright unless it's vertical sound which is pretty much always fucked. Try using some comtacs or sordins or whichever you find you like and see if that helps if you haven't already

In Hunt the sound is extremely accurate and really sounds 3d, I often kill people using sound alone. In tarkov I so far find it super hard to pinpoint footsteps or gunshots etc. I kinda know where it is, but dunno, sounds really flat, might just take time though.

There are many quests, skills, guns/mods and loads of other shit to unlock/aquire. It's pretty crazy, and unless you play 8 hours a day, the quest lines will take you forever. There's so much to do and things to gather
