A lot of “extreme riders” and enthusiasts are clashing over height and type and stats. This is a GREAT ride for a park that hasn’t had a new design since 2005. If anything, this will be the new “big ride” of Dorney and will hopefully bring in revenue for something diverse like an RMC or Vekoma maybe.

@tentenchu8140 Thunderhawk is considered a rollercoaster landmark or something like that. So the only thing that can be done to it is retracking or things like that. They layout will never change. It's like the Cyclone at Coney Island.

Iron Menace is quite similar to Yukon Striker at Canada’s Wonderland. Both are dive roller coasters with an Immelmann inversion following the first drop, are painted orange, and have four inversions in total.

It’s strategic. Cedar Fair is playing off the familiarity of orange paint and similar coaster type. They did the whole “Timbers” thing in the mid 2010s.

Look smooth and fun Nice drop. Just would be even better had it been longer with another drop. The famous part of roller coaster for me is multiple drops zipping speed. But this one is great

Yeah, I agree that this is a very short dive coaster. They usually have 2 main drops and longer layouts. This one just feels too short.

I can't believe how many people are complaining about the length of this coaster. Dorney Park doesn't have much space to work with. Be glad to get this. You should keep two things in mind. 1. The space Dorney Park has and 2. The town has to approve the coasters that Dorney Park gets. Dorney Park is at a major disadvantage compared to other parks.

Very similar to Valkyria at Liseberg, which is also a B&M dive coaster. Spoiler alert, Iron Menace is going to be a very smooth comfortable ride that you'll wish was longer.

It's too short. Really, I wouldn't want to wait on a line more than 15 minutes for this. Granted, I am sure there are reasons for why it is designed so short, and space comes to mind as Dorney really isn't a large park. I am sure they are going to have to shoe horn this in there if they are not removing anything else. Still, I would have liked to see a longer ride.

Roller coasters are made similarly to how cars are - different companies make different models and sell them to the theme park. Baron 1898 is the same company, same model as this ride

Did they hit a budget wall? So much leftover speed - another helix wouldn't have hurt my feelings! Still, looking forward to a great addition to the park.

Not a budget wall per se but a test budget. B&Ms aren’t cheap and Dorney is not only putting in that coaster but re-theming that entire area of the park. Iron Menace is a pretty costly test budget and if the park does really well because of its addition they have a 10-year plan to heavily invest in more rides and coasters and bring Dorney closer to one of their tier 1 parks. However they don’t want to spend a massive amount on a huge really long dive coaster just incase they don’t see the return in profits.
