Dornier Do-328JET-310 - Engine Start, Taxi and Takeoff

It's a beautiful October afternoon with perfect weather as Key Lime Air Flight 1092, Dornier 328 Jet prepares to depart Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport (KBJC) near Denver, Colorado on a flight to Pullman/Moscow, Washington (KPUW). The flight today carries the CU (University of Colorado) Women's Volleyball Team.

The Fairchild-Dornier 328JET is a commuter airliner based upon the turboprop-powered Dornier 328. The 328 was designed and placed into initial production by the German aerospace firm Dornier Luftfahrt GmbH, but in 1996 that firm was acquired by the United States aerospace company Fairchild Aircraft. The resulting corporation, named Fairchild Dornier, continued the production of the 328 family in Oberpfaffenhofen, Germany, conducted sales from San Antonio, Texas, and supported the product line from both locations.
Due to public perception of noise and reliability issues with turboprops, Fairchild-Dornier developed the turbofan-based 328-300 or 328JET, of which 83 were sold. The 328JET prototype rolled out on 6 December 1997 at Oberpfaffenhofen, Germany, and made its first flight there on 20 January 1998.[1] The 328JET utilized the same cabin arrangement as the 328.

I can't recall seeing any other aircraft which has both turboprop and jet options. Is the Dornier 328 unique?

I used to live close to the flight path of Lindbergh field in San Diego. There were high wing commuter jets came in there quite often and although it has been quite a while I think they had four engines. Do you know about them? Not Dorniers where they?

Probably the BAe-146. I remember in San Diego, seeing the BAe-146's of PSA and AirCal in the 80's
