I really wish Geo has it's own elemental reaction (excluding crystalized shield.) Like for example Geo and Dendro would make a vine grow around a squishy enemy (Slimes/Hilichurls for example) and it tangles them in one place for like 4-8 seconds...

Geo doesn't need more elemental reactions, they just need their roster filled out with normal roles. iow a healer, dedicated buffer that's not Gorou, and both working with constructs. Navia and Chiori BOTH are giving an opening for future units to fill that role because of their kit mechanics needs.

Chiori isn’t a split scaling character, she’s a dual scaling character. All her things scale off both attack, and defense, so you don’t have to be as worried about the thing.

Poor Chiori is the new Yoimiya, I’m calling it now. A well liked character that nobody will wish for. This is just about the worst possible time for her. Neuvi and Kazuha are up next, 2 of the most meta characters ever. Then comes Father, one of the most anticipated characters ever. Then coming up soon will be a Furina rerun, and also Clorinde FINALLY making her big debut. Siegewinne will be here too, and probably also a Wrio rerun at some point. And then not too far off, just a few versions away from now… Natlan. Basically, anyone keeping track of the projected future banners has absolutely no reason to pull for Chiori outside of just liking her as a character. Which I do. Just not enough to divert primogems in her direction. Cheer up, Yoimiya. You’ve got some company now in the “worst timing” club.

Yes! I’m glad you love her! I have never been more in love with a Genshin character than Chiori. I even got her signature weapon. The only other characters i got their signature weapon for was Venti and Yelan. They are my favorite characters. Chiori is so fuggin DOPE!

I don't level up talents, never artifact farm, don't really understand team comps, etc. but after watching this video I went back and started to build my Raiden. @@KingchooRS it’s the type of love that grows over time. I’m a sucker for an underdog, so the more slander geo got, the more I wanted to play it. I find geo’s attitude of not giving a crap and beating the living hell out of enemies with a big dumb stick, or sometimes a shotgun, such a chad move. I originally was a ganyu main in 1.x and then a Yoimiya main in inazuma, so I already loved Zhongli’s shield, and I built my yun Jin and loved the geo resonance bonus. Then I fell in love with Itto and Max Mitteman’s amazing voice acting, I pulled on his rerun and he’s still the most fun character to play for me. His combo based, stack management gameplay is a blast. It feels so proactive and engaging despite not having any reactions. Then I fell again, for navia, in Fontaine. She’s gorgeous, and amazing to play, simple and intuitive. And when I saw chiori’s design I knew I was all in on geo. For good. Of course there are many other teams and characters I love, but in this patch I’ve decided geo will always be one of my main teams, and a style of play I’ll always gladly invest my resources into, because it never fails to feel fun and enjoyable to me. So far, I’ve built every geo unit I have, I am still missing albedo but I’ll eventually collect all the Geo infinity stones.

Honestly, I'm very similar to you. Except my love for Geo comes from the characters themselves. I have a need to play them to the point where I always bring one or two into domains or open world fights. While I like Anemo Traveler more, I do tend to rely on Geo Traveler too. Amber was my main for ages, ever since I played in 2.3 (funnily enough, Itto and Gorou were on the banner and both were available on my birthday), but it wasn't until 2.5 when I switched gears. I got Gorou in the same 10 pull as Kokomi and after playing as him for a while, and some convincing from the Irodori Festival in 2.6, I decided Gorou would be my new main and I've been using him ever since. Though, I do use Amber and my other favourite Nilou. Because of his kit, I relied on other Geo characters and very soon, Geo was my favourite character overall and favourite 4-star. Similar to you, I've yet to collect all the Geo characters, Itto and Zhongli. I have Albedo. That being said, I am trying to C6 my Gorou, I have Chiori and her weapon already so I might wish on Itto's banner and see if I can hit two hillicurls with one shot. We'll see

Chiori has been pretty fun to play with, in a lot of different teams and situations. It’s nothing crazy but I tried her with Furina, Mika, and Yunjin and she did around 15k NAs.

While I was playing around with Chiori I actually found out that the geo pillars the geo sematchurls summon actually count for Chiori being able to summon two tomatoes! Chiori in my opinion is a lot like electro traveler; both are very strong on field but prefer to be off field. Chiori’s niche of teleporting and having multiple summons are covered by other five stars like Alhethem and Furina, her teleportation being slightly better because you can swap characters mid-air. Electro traveller’s off field electro dammage is covered by Beidough, Kooki and Ei Shogan, being only slightly better than Beidough because his off field burst can trigger hyperblooms while Beidough’s can’t. Still love electro traveler, he is doing some insane damage

So Chiori has Dual scaling rather than split scaling so you can benefit more from basically anything ATK or DEF however if you closely look at her kit she prioritises DEF more since multiplier for DEF is higher. Further if you press E twice and switch to the next character it triggers her passive which allows more damage than her geo infusion

I don't know the way I play Chiori is that I user her E skill and she stays on field for 5 seconds to do 5 seconds of Geo damage and then switch to my supports like gorou or yun jin and rinse and repeat. Yes, I use Lalya cuz I use harbinger of dawn on every sword character and I can really use the double protection from her shield and her crystallized and she could do damage with her shield up. I love your vids doro.

Chiori is a dual scaler, not split scaler but she benefits far more from def (scales higher and def stats are higher than atk ones), so unless you want to play her on-field (wich doesn’t scale of def if you’re not c6) you should ignore her atk scaling, atk% substats won’t be lost but they bring less value than crit and def Also her burst while not negligeable is not worth building er for over other stats and bursting every other rotaion is fine, ideally you get a bit of er on most of your pieces and that’s enough to burst every rotation tho, btw ~25% was enough for me One last thing if you want to on-field her... it seems like doing her skill twice and going back on her to do physical does more dmg since otherwise you won’t get the 2 follow up attacks from the dolls and that’s more than the geo infusion on her normal attacks will provied...

Hey Doro! In case you didn't know, double-tapping Chiori's skill trades her geo infusion for 2 more instances of her skill damage over the duration, which adds up to a LOT more damage. So the best way to play main DPS Chiori (at C0) is still to double-tap and swap off of her to get the "Tapestry" effect, but then bring her back in afterwards so she can benefit from Gorou's defense buff, Bennett's attack buff, etc (since her dolls don't snapshot). While you do lose the geo infusion, it's so short anyway that just using physical attacks isn't much of a damage loss, and it overall results in more DPS. I'm glad you've been liking her; she's one of my favourite designs of the entire region, and I'm thrilled to have her around :D
