The questions make sense with those explanations. Dinah Shore was married to George Montgomery, who made furniture.

For those wondering who it was that actually lost his address book flying in a helicopter over Greece, Dorothy once stated that she had actor Anthony Perkins in mind when asking the question.

Well, she did have help. Remember that the "mystery" contestant was very frequently someone premiering a film, or acting or directing in a play on Broadway or other stuff - and no one had contacts in the Manhattan theatrical community like Dorothy. So she would have had an extremely keen awareness of what celebrities were recently in town, or opening a play, or what have you - and also remember that Arlene Francis and Bennett Cerf lived in Connecticut and wouldn't have had their nose to the ground nearly as effectively as the "voice of Broadway" - not to mention they both had gigs that would have taken up a fair amount of time, especially in Cerf's case. So, yeah, she would definitely have a leg up with the mystery guests in particular. I think you'll notice that she didn't do nearly as well in areas like sports celebrities.

That look of joy on Dorothy's face when she guessed Richard Widmark was priceless! As a young boy that went to Bowie School, his portrayal of James Bowie was particularly special to me!!

Richard Widmark soon after made a noir film in which he was the good guy and Jack Palance threw another wheelchair bound invalid off a fire escape. I wonder if Widmark gave him lessons.

Thank you so very much for these, what a joy they all are to see again and many for the first time. I so appreciate your compilations. These old shows let the everyone see the ‘golden age of television,’ though too many are unappreciative. Just goes to show how far down the tubes that time has gone. These seem like yesterday - until I count the years. Time has flown, and it won’t be long until I fly as well. God bless, everyone.

This IS terrific! I'd love to know ... Was there ever anyone who answered in the affirmative to the odder questions - dropped your wallet from a helicopter (anywhere)? Or, did you ever study dentistry - in most situations an odd question, but on WML? Distinctly. I wish the clips were longer - just because they are so great and I'm curious. THANKS!
