Way to go Shaun! Very impressive mate! It's a bitter sweet time for many as the season winds down. One chapter ends and another begins. It's not over just yet for our Dorset Naga plant here in Georgia though! Something tells me our next harvest will be really nice 😎Thanks for the shout out and thanks so much for allowing me to grow along with you and Calvin. This has been really fun so far! Second harvest on our plant coming soon!

Mine are all in 60 Lt soil pots. My Dorset Armagedons have produced well, not so well on my Assam Bhut Jolokia, Butch T Scorpion & Carolina Reapers. However, there all still fruiting in my heated greenhouse, & all about 3 to 4 ft tall. Which, for my first attempt at growing superhots I'm well pleased with & already sorted my seeds for next year. I just wish I had a much larger greenhouse space.

I planted my Jalapenos back in May. Here it is, almost Halloween, and it's still warm enough for the plants to grow. We're about to get a cold snap (here in Oklahoma), so I'm about to lose the plants. Going to save what I can, already have my fermentation going for what's going to be my largest batch yet.

I would love to join in next year!!! I am in south Florida so you would have to pick an end date for my season as I can basically grow year round. Season reaches “end” around mid December for maybe 3 weeks at best then back in the mid 70’s in Freedom Units.

i had almost 4 harvests this year. decided to not trim any of my plants. interesting to say the least. planted my seeds in march. my 4th harvest grew 40% and weren't spicy. trimmed every other year maybe i am terrible at it i don't know but i had only 1 harvest other years. strangely enough my peppers didn't fully develope until mid august. my first harvest that is. i had about 10 plants and 5 kilo grams of peppers. late aug to sep i had 3 kilos.

That's the challenge when growing a monster plant in a season....getting lots of foliage is pretty easy, but getting the balance right to allow for a good harvest, thats the trick. Have a look at what I did last year, using a 160l pot....didn't produce as well as the 60l pot.

i need to learn much much more! So do you think a hydroponik Plant can be bigger than a plant in dirt stuff?
@ChilliChump11 ай бұрын
That would depend on a lot of things....hydro can certainly make it grow quicker.

Hey Shaun, out of interest what’s your total harvest in weight for this year? It’s your first proper year at the new place right (admittedly an odd season). I’m guessing you’ve weighed it all 😃
@ChilliChump Жыл бұрын
Hey Simon, we've been here for about 2 and half years now. So second full year. Total harvest weight, I'm not too sure right now. If you have a look at the sauce video I did with the last harvest, I gave the weights in that

May i know why did you picked the Dorset naga? Is it known to grow large?

Because of a competition a few years ago where they grew a monster Dorset Naga plant named Nigel. I talk about it more in this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/f4nSXn2XoM6mnNk

@@ChilliChump ok will watch. I just thought it was just a variety that grew larger than usual chinense. Do chinense grow larger than other? Im growing in containers so i may allocate only 1-2 super large pots to try to grow a monster and wonder which to choose.

In our climate, it wouldn't work. We discussed this when the challenge was set up. Have a look at the experiments I've done with outdoor growing in England. There is a reason I've invested in greenhouses and polytunnels for my business
