@@ArteFlamenco1 well thank you for this one. and no, lol, i did not immediately realize my tuning snafu, but i suspected it lol. some sections sounded correct, though. i was starting to think that the song (and probably everything he plays) was so far beyond my ability that even hearing it was nearly impossible and attempting to play it was masochistic. I'll have to look around again for the tuning specifics

@@mackhomie6 I think it's mostly the speed that he plays at which is too advanced for most people but at a lower speed it becomes more possbile. Have fun with it!

@@ArteFlamenco1 can you play it at full speed? i think this is the fastest I've come across the technique, especially that (3x3) 0-0-6, 0-6-7, 0-0-0 bit. i know vincente doesn't have anything quite that speed and thats his bread and butter (ami)

ive been listening to that a lot the last couple weeks. but the flute ... the end of that song sounds ljke something my grandma would be watching on PBS with a trio of "Irish" Lithuanians singing about a lassie. accordion, flute, harmonica, senior citizens--vincente never misses an opportunity to have someone taint one of his masterpieces lol

holy shit this is hard. it sounds so bad when i attempt it that I'm not even sure I'm in the right tuning. this is a fucking disaster. this reminds me of the first time I came across a paco de Lucia tab when I was playing Metallica songs on an electric guitar and I thought the tabs had to be wrong

You did notice that you have to tune 3 strings differently as written in the beginning of the tabs-bar? If it's still hard then try from bar 24, that should sound ok.

I was not tuned even close to correctly and I didn't understand the tab, either. those eyelash marks that sustain a note -- I didn't know that you play the first note and ignore the same note the second time. made progress with my nails too, finally and believe it or not, I've got this thing at basically the solera flamenca tempo. maybe 5bpm slower, but I don't think so. all that said, I'm still not Antonio rey and my picado sucks, but there's little enough of that that four notes played legato, while it doesn't sound as good, I'll take it
