Scary Movie 1 and 2, where basically made by Keenan Ivory Wayans (Director), Shawn & Marlon Wayans (writers). Scary Movie 3,4 and 5 were basically made by David Zucker (Directed 3 and 4, co-wrote 5). There are plenty of interviews were the Wayans brothers talk about why and how they left the franchise, not gonna try to explain. 3 and 4 actually made more money than 2, tho I liked the first 2 better.

Yeah and then we got those shitty spoof movies like Epic Movie and Disaster Movie made by Jason Friedberg. And they had the nerve to say “from a guy who worked on Scary Movie.” but based on what I heared he wasn't even that involved. I think the Wayne’s brothers said he showed up to 2 meetings and that was it. It was like working on a group project and you have that one kid who didn’t do shit but still wrote his name on it to get credit. It was kinda like that. Because he technically “worked” on Scary Movie he was allowed to use that to advertise his shitty knockoffs.

Or rather Stu was secretly gay and obsessed with Billy that’s why he helped Billy. If you rewatch it with that in mind Stu does say some pretty strange things and they are all over one another in a lot of the scenes.

Yes, Scary Movie 2 is a must-see. It riffs on supernatural horror movies instead, like The Exorcist and The Haunting. Scary Movie 3 is a must-see. It's mostly Signs and The Ring, and it's made by the same guys who made Airplane! and The Naked Gun. Scary Movie 4 is still funny, and you can still watch it and enjoy it. But Scary Movie 5 should be avoided.

This was a great movie, and well done by the Wayons Brothers. My favorite opening and my favorite scene in all of them are both in Scary Movie 2, so I think you'll like it. If you like Hot Shots, Airplane!, and The Naked Gun movies, the rest of the sequels to Scary Movie would be fun for you as well.
